An unexpected decision on their father's part reverses the fortunes of Rin and Sakura. Ten years have passed since, and now as the Fifth Holy Grail War begins, the two sisters must play the roles prepared for them, on a stage stained black with blood and fire.

One must always be sacrificed, such was the fate of the sisters. Who is not important, so long as one is sacrificed [DISCONTINUED - I CAN DO BETTER].

Sakura Tohsaka has lived in the Clock Tower ever since her mother had died. She built a new life, making friends, acquaintances, enemies and allies, and pursuing the legacy her father entrusted to her at the expense of their family itself. Now, as the Fifth Holy Grail War begins, she must return to Japan, and there face the shadows of the past in order to step towards the future.

A very different Fifth Holy Grail War plays out as the result of Tokiomi deciding to send Rin rather than Sakura to become a Matou.
