Honestly one of the best fanfictions I've ever read, and undoubtedly the best Mermaid AU Fanfiction I've ever read. This story is a lot different from others for obvious reasons. Just read the story and you'll see why people love it so much! :)

If I hadn't known this was a fan-work or written with characters from an existing series, I would've assumed this was copied and pasted from a published novel. Which reminds me: I think this work has the potential of becoming its own story if some of the characters and names were tweaked a bit. It's just so unique and well-done, that it doesn't seem like a fanfiction at all. It's like it was taken right out of a published novel. I'm trying not to exaggerate, but I really like this story and think it's underrated.

I would love to see this as an original book or a web-comic. That. Would. Be. So. Awesome.

Sorry for ranting a little, I'm a sucker for mermaids, especially when they have realistic depictions of them. Anyways, this is a great story and I will wait for more. Hopefully, the author will start feeling better soon and jump back onto this glorious story. But in the meanwhile, his/her fans will loyally wait until another update C:
