Its a well written story but kinda boring imo. Maybe its because Im not really a big fan of these 2 series but it seems as if your using the non canon ending of the anime for this instead of the manga

This is utterly fantastic, but may I suggest that you bring a few more characters in? At least for a visit? It's sort of starting to feel like all the characters are being isolated in a bubble or something.
