Though I can see him wanting to know about his family (assuming he doesn't), Orochimaru's whole shtick is that he transfers his soul from one body to another because what he wants to accomplish can't be done in a single lifetime; he has no need to pass things on to any children. What's he really after, then?

The level of sugar in Naruto and Hinata's "A Walk to Remember"-style romance these last few chapters was sickeningly sweet, but nonetheless, since I expect a good ending to come out of this, I can still enjoy reading it. Looking forward to the rest of it! Oh, since Kakashi's going with Naruto, who's going to be Sakura and Sasuke's jounin sensei?

Dude, like whoa. I really hope Hinata does get cured and becomes a kickass kunoichi! Honestly, she doesn't deserve any of this. I'm loving the plot twists and details. You're doing a fantastic job! So much has happened, it makes my heart hurt.

Great chapter , well with Jiraiya, Itachi and Kakashi you'd have a hard time finding better trainers and teammates then that.

Good chapter , considering the Hokage is in charge I would think Hiashi's comment regarding forced retirement could almost be considered treasonous.

I damn near cried as I read the scenes with Naruto and Hinata during this chapter, ESPECIALLY when he mentions the orphans. Gah, I was on a train while reading this and did all I could to not cry in public. I'm a sucker for cute romance and Goddamn it you hit me in the gut with the NaruHina fluff in this chapter and I loved every moment of it.
Can't wait for the next part of the series especially with the main stories going on with Naruto's mission, Hinata's recovery, Shikamaru's quest and Orochimaru's plans.

i'm surprised how well you came up with a scenario where hiashi would agree to helping orochimaru as he pointed out they have no need of her. i hadn't even considered the use of the same healing used on future generations but with a clan of that size the injuries are almost guaranteed. i also thought hinata's promise to waste away should naruto not return morbid but expected considering her level of infatuation so far shown. i also thought the way you had sakura disect sasuke's problems through obsessive note taking interesting, the only other time i have seen this track used before was having her easily beat sasuke in a spar before he had his sharingan because she knew EXACTLY how he fought, maybe you could use that too. i'm curious how this will all end, whether it will be a happy ending or a bitter sweet one considering the tone of the series so far
