Great Story I wonder if there is gonna be a sequel.

While there were a few grating issues with some of the fighters and capital ships, the Story itself was really good and engaging.

Okay how are there only a few shots that don't Collide when the imp Star has 60 Heavy turbolasers as opposed to the venators 8?
Same for the fact that both ships suffer damage at the same rate, despite the Venator having the same shields but only a 7th of the fire power and none of it's 400 fighters.

So they want to try and fight an imperial Stardestroyer, which was designed to fight other capital ships with a Venator that was designed primarily as a fighter and troop carrier without getting pilots for any of the fighters that might still be on board, or troops?

A Wings do not carry Torpedos. They carry a payload of rockets at best.

Also why do so many starwars stories feel the need to recreate the trenchrun? Even the X-wing series from stackpole had a pseudo trenchrun with their attack on boreleias.
Isn't doing some normal TRD fighting good enough? I mean they did bring an executor class down with those tactics, or at least a very liberal application of them. Heck the Empire Designed a new class of frigate to deal with fighters because they were such a Problem for their bigger ship when flying Trench Run Disease attacks.

Also I was quite puzzled how Weiss got back command of her Stardestroyer that easily, until the grand moffs ploy came to view.

So they did rebel against the woman in Charge.
Also why is it always tatooine? If you want a dessert Planet, Klatooine, Geonosis or canon!Mandalore would do just as well.
If you want scum, Narshada has tatooine beaten by a wide margine, not to mention Nal Hutta itself.
If you want a deadly Environment, why not use an Ice planet like Plato newmodia(not Sure on the spelling here) , Hoth or Ilum?
If you want to use the deadly and unfriendly natives, why not use Dathomir, with its rancor riding witches?
Why is it that stories like this always go through tatooine?

Overall nice first chapter, defenitly going to read on, but there are a few strange things I noticed:
Why would Blake refer to pazzak, a game played predominantly during the time of the Old Republic, and not Sabbac, the most common card game during the Rise of the Empire/Rebellion era?
Why would Cardin just take Weiss's sass despite the imperial navy's disdain for women or alien officers?
And one minor thing trigger feels wrong when talking about S-foils, wouldn't they normaly use 'engage' or described the button/switches activation/use?

episode 1 was the prequel before the empire

Well lets see there is ether an incoming Vong war or the knights of Ren, the futures not looking to bright for the crew. Amazingly Disney canon is actually the darker of the two and the books could get extremely dark and times.

So, noticed this little tale off of your author page and decided to give it a read. Sweet holy kittens, did I enjoy this ride. Seriously, nice job on crafting a Star Wars tale that weaved throughout the movie storyline without intruding on it, as well as capturing the feel of Star Wars itself. Had me on the edge of my seat all the way til the last paragraph, this was an awesome read and I'm so very happy I came across for the enjoyment!
