I love how the story is coming along, can't w for the next chapter.

This is amazing! I love your characters, the backstory, etc. Very exciting so far and I can't wait to read more. (Also, thanks for not adding the romance side, that probably would have been a turn off to an otherwise great story.) One question, though. I'm not sure if I missed this part, or you didn't make this clear, how long do the mermaids live? Are they immortal, like elves, or do they just live a really long time like dwarves? I'm pretty sure that elves don't keep track of how old they are, while the naiads seem to. Just curious. Other than that, good job.
