| Guest chapter 14 . 3/29 You know, that 'War of the Worlds' radio play is more an ongoing prank on people after; it wasn't something that actually fooled much of anyone at the time. It just gets that reputation because a newspaper article presented the story of a few people getting fooled by a play as something that fooled tons of people. That had stuff surrounding it saying it was a play despite being done in a 'news report' style. And it was an episodic thing as well from what I've found, and not something large amounts of people even listened to. I was disappointed when I learned that the actual story was way overblown. It's kind of funny that Angel more or less is believing a story told by sensationalist newspapers, that did so to sell more copies, albeit not directly from that source. And the instances of 'panic' were not actually confirmed as actually happening. Angel's right about the purebloods likely believing the Graboid attack, though. Wonder if Albus will try to fight the worms. The Quibbler outright reporting it as a hoax could actually lead to hilarity, if it ends up making more people believe it's a real thing. |
