Robert Baratheon just finished his battle and killed the last of the White Walkers (whose name i don't remember)

It’s taken me days to get here, but I made it at last. Wow, what a ride! This is a fantastic fic, so well thought out and so much world building, it’s going to be challenge remembering what is canon and what is from this story in my mind.

Easily one of the best fics I’ve ever read, certainly in this fandom anyway but also beyond. You managed to set the scene in such a way that I was completely enraptured. I love SI where we barely if ever see the character’s own perspective, rather always showing their effect on the world through the eyes of others.

The problem is that now you’ve killed off Robert. Yes, he may well return in spirit form or something, and I don’t really understand why Thoros didn’t revive him which I was SURE would happen (has happened and we just haven’t seen it? I don’t remember actually seeing the body burn I think they only talked about it and they later only referred to his weapon). The main point is, I liked Robert. I thought he added something to the story, and now we will see how the rest of Westeros and beyond are... prepared... for the long night.

Actually despite my disappointment what this fic is is ballsy. You made the wall irrelevant. Lots of good characters died. You even skipped unnecessary descriptions of battles (thank you!). You’re not afraid of going full George Martin and killing off characters we have grown to love. I remember I stopped reading the books initially the first time when Robb Died. I couldn’t imagine there would be characters I cared about enough, but eventually I got back into it. I guess that’s what happening now. Your Viserys, Martells, Tywin (!) and so many other characters are very good. You’ve done an excellent job of skipping a lot of the boring stuff in these books too.

Keep up the tremendous work. This is a masterpiece of fanfiction.

You killed Robert, but kept Viserys? Seriously, why waste our time?

Great story. It's a shame you killed the SI, as I think that was a big mistake, but a great story even with that in mind.

Ironic that the one author who kills off his SI is the one good enough that you don't want the SI to die.

Dear drakensis, I love Drakebert like a son and I'm glad I got to see his story play out to its conclusion. If you do decide to continue Cassandra's tale, I would be overjoyed but I know it's a monumental effort

I found this gem of a story by chance. I am very happy i got to read it, it is wonderfully written and gives us a chance a explore a tale in which King Robert was a fabulous King and Man. Please continue the story, i would love to know what happens next.
