Interesting

so, ive got some opinions after binging the entire fic over the free time i had on the last three days.

first, i love the representation. it bothers me that people are saying theres too much.
lemme just example real quick. im a trans girl. ive never met someone trans that i intentionally sought out as a trans person. theyve been coincidences. that being said, off the top of my head, im on good terms with three other people that fall under the trans umbrella, and the amount of lesbians, gay men, bisexual people, and pansexual people i know honestly rivals the amount of straight people i know.
and i live in a conservative city.
so people saying its unrealistic because three characters happen to be trans out of the like 40 major characters in the fic... thats kinda bullshit.
we're not fucking anomalies, we just dont always express who we are because we are scared.

anyway, now that ive gotten that off my chest, the fic itself. im a bit easily grossed out, so i had to skim a few of the gorier descriptions, but all in all this made for an atmospherically really dark interpretation of the show, which i think was pulled off spectacularly. the romances are truly something i yearn to see fulfilled, even when its not one of my own ships, the fic manages to still follow the plot of the original show, loosely, and yet also be different enough to be entertaining.
i do have some criticisms, more on the side of technical issues than plot/character issues.
sometimes its hard to tell who is speaking, as characters arent clearly defined as being the ones to speak at specific times. there are occasional spelling and grammar errors, really more of a nitpick than anything else, and my single biggest complaint is that the term hunter is used, when in lore the term is Huntsman or Huntress, but thats a common issue in many fics, so again, really just a nitpick.
all in all, so far i would rate it a 8 out of 10, and i cant wait for more.

Okay, one thing that’s been bothering me. While I think the idea of Qrow being a double agent is interesting in theory, in practice it seems kind of pointless. Like Qrow told Ozpin’s inner circle who Cinder was and they just did nothing with that information and her plan proceeded exactly as it did in canon. And Qrow’s role in the story after meeting Neo is exactly the same as it was in canon, and somehow Cinder never noticed him interact with Ozpin or Team Rwby. At that point the detail of Qrow’s loyalty became completely superfluous. That detail could have been taken out entirely and nothing would change. If you have Ozpin learn Cinder’s identity, you really should make him do something with that information. Otherwise what’s the point? Not to be too negative, as I’ve really enjoyed everything else, but that’s really been bothering me.

So is Weiss schizophrenic or is there some other reason why her reflection talks to her? Either way, it’s pretty interesting. Although, I do wonder what the medication Tai told Ruby to bring with her was.
