Reviews for The Battle of Chameleon Bay
Francisco914 chapter 1 . 1/2
I wish this was an actual novel not a one shot, just imagine these primitives fighting against a ww2 or a modern military force from our world.

A fun story but one point has me confused. You reference the geographic poximtiy of the Earth Kingdom, Korea, China, and the Fire Nation which suggests some mashup of some kind of our world with that of the Avatar. That of course makes no sense as the Avatar characters are surprised by the various elements of the Japanese War Machine. In addition, the Japanese officer make reference to their world not having bending, suggesting the Japanese are from some alternate reality (ours). Which is it?

CapnSwashbuckler chapter 1 . 9/15/2016
A fun little read, but I'm wondering how the devil that force manages to stay supplied. Even in 1942 Japan was short critical supplies and was forced to let their supply situation dictate grand strategy. I'll admit I'm not incredibly well-versed on the A:tLA worldbuilding, but it seems to me a mostly feudal-tech society wouldn't even begin to be able to provide supply for major ops; even with an influx of tech, the infrastructure just isn't there, and it's costly in terms of resources and more importantly, time.

I'm your replacement. :)

Anyway, great post, and sorry to see you in Coventry, even if I disagree with your views. Good luck. :3

Bloody hell...Yamato and Musashi against the Fire Nation? Scratch that, MODERN battleships against 19th Century coal burners? Catapults against modern cannons?

Also, poison gas, modern firearms, and tanks and planes against medieval soldiers?

Talk about overkill dude.

Azula...yeah well she's crazy, though that's part of what makes her so hot, no pun intended. Though I wonder if she'd have gotten off if she were watching the naval battle instead of Zuko.
