Goodness... I cannot bullieve you took the time to work in that many 'Bull' puns. Not to bullabor the obvious, of course. You might have embullished a bit concerning Gibbs' bad behavior, but he really does come off as overly bulligerent most of the time. Like some large horned ungulate loose in a store that sells porcelain.

Parody aside, this was a very rational display of how people would take to someone in their office being treated like a saint made of most fragile glass by the management. Give us a break or give him the boot, indeed! And you really touched on one of the most egregious parts of this show: the idea that Gibbs is irreplaceable. Do you recall a storyline where some skeevy little Washington politician was gunning for Gibbs, and Director Vance and possibly the Secretary of the Navy personally intervened to shut him down, to which the politico declared in disbelief, "Is Leroy Gibbs really THAT important?" I always thought this was the writers trying to get back at him, but oh well. That's what fan-fics are for.
As for Bull, his usefulness in this fic aside, Tomas cannot help you there. Seriously, has Bull ever had a client who was actually guilty and not a long-suffering saint? I'd love to watch Weatherly again, really, I would! He's been a charmer since 'Dark Angel'. But c'mon... the way everyone fawns over him in the show, and how he's never wrong, and those who disagree with him are invariably shown up as foolish children... doesn't that strike you as just a bit... Gibbsian? A subtle dig against his former coworker, perhaps?

I totally agree. I would like Tony back but in a spin-off. He was the reason I was watching NCIS. Than the writings trying making him into a serious dumb womaniser jock. Plus outside of questions supects and a few things what did Gibbs actually do?

They cant even say anything with the word Build or Bible in them - not that I support religion, because I dont, but that does have a BLE ending! Not forgetting Builders and Buildings.

Hi! Sorry, I discovered AO3's fan fiction website a long time ago, and it's been eating my time (plus I am around four years behind actually watching NCIS original because it got so annoying) but I just read this and it was spectacular!

Bull is a good show, everyone should watch. Gibbs is the most caricature character on television and wytyg you forgot that Dinozzo was bullied in childhood too and it was McGee who helped him overcome the problem? This might not have turned out as funny as you intended, but it is cute and fun and put a smile on my face, several times. I love the idea of MW’s new character catching on to some of Gibbs’ misconduct and using it to help his client while cutting Gibbs down to size. I chuckled at the alternate careers that Callen considered. I’m glad you mentioned the Q-score – that reminded me to go find it on the net and see what the fuss was about. Way to go MW! I share your disappointment in how TPTB handled his exit and I think you’ve come up with a much better explanation (courtesy of Granger) about Tony’s exit. (Though I still don’t buy the “Tony has a kid” aspect, but she provided a handy excuse.)

Ok, someone is actually trashing the Gibbs! Very cute. i loved the line about a long list of suspects that would hurt him! I'm not a fan of Tony, he behaves way too much like an overgrown kid and straight up bully for my liking, but his skill is beyond dispute and not used nearly enough! Good work!

I have to say that I found it funny, but then I'm a Brit so I'm hardwired for dark humour, irony and sarcasm. Loved that Gibbs was 'savaged' by Michaels new incarnation and the little slips from show reality to fictional constructs. Personally, and on a more serious note, especially given the events in London this week, I was angry not only that the producers gave Tony such a weak exit but that they (probably unthinkingly)insinuated that no cop or fed could be both a parent and do their jobs. So are all the law enforcement officers with children out there abusing their kids because they dare to do a dangerous job? Frankly anyone who can give those idiot writers and producers a kick up their fundament is a winner in my book, and you are and have always been the best. Good job.

Oh how i love this. i was so disappointed in S13 E24 also and You done a real good job with this. Still dont explain the bitterness Gibbs showed TD. like i said you done real good with this and i whole heartedly agree with you End Notes.

My only comment (that really doesn't have anything much to do with your story) is that Tiva is confirmed in Season 4 Episode 1. Them having a child is not that far fetched.
