It's really weird how Jaune is nerfed now. Back then, he manages to fight off Yang without aura who is pretty much the 2nd best in Combat Class and now he's having trouble with Cardin and Ruby? Like wtf man.

I have mixed feelings about your story... I found it hard to put you in a box, which is a good thing, I suppose? Initially I was sure that unlike most of Jaunes, this one won't be afraid of killing bad guys. Then I thought that this will be one of 'those' stories - where the MC is hollier than though: 'killing is always bad, even if I kill a murderer to save thousands'. But it wasn't it either. Seems that the truth is somewhere between and I respect you for making your story less predictable and cliche.

The idea of using elements from 'Parasite' was completely new. You also didn't make an artificial crossover or fusion - these parasytes were really fitting in this picture. You also avoided a trap I've seen in many crossovers - retelling Prasite in a setting of RWBY. This is clearly RWBY with only slight inlfuence of another anime.

Another strong point was Jaune's transformation - both physical and psychological. He received typical in anime upgrades during life or death situations. I loved reading about Manus rebuilding his organs with Grimm equivalents. Psychological struggles with the dark side that gave him power reminded me on the other hand of Bleach (the past part of that anime).

As for ending, I have to say - I felt shivers reading the end of this chapter - another thing I wasn't expecting. As Jaune is an exception in being only partially possessed, what will happen to his sister? Will he be forced to kill her? I can see some hard choices. And, after you killed Tucson I can't say that I'm certain that there will be no deaths, which is great. (I was sure that your Jaune will heal his employer at last moment, I already thought 'Great, another story where the hero arrives at the last moment and saves the day. So unrealistic.' You surprised me - the dead man stayed dead.)

So, was there anything I didn't like? I would say, too much of, probably not angst, but drama and feelings. Sometimes Jaune doubts were coming too close to being self-righteous. Luckily, just before I was about to categorize this story as too soft, Jaune started killing, maybe even too much (it's a pity some innocent farmer died).

Now Weiss, prove your loyalty. Strike down Blake and Yang down the pit for insulting Jaune. And together rule the galaxy as waifu and protagonist.
