This is one of the best time travel stories I've read. Often authors are too afraid to deviate from the original timeline but you certainly did not have this problem. I am sad for AmiDala but Anakin died a true hero and I can accept that. Also, great choice not to drag out the Palpatine reveal. Writers will often come up with the most convoluted reasons not to reveal the emperor's identity in those sort of fics when they could get creative instead.

When it comes to fiction, be it original or fan fiction, the first 1-3 chapters are the key to ensnaring the reader. You have successfully ensnared me in this web of yours. You have wonderfully captured Luke's disbelief in the lack of justice in the Republic and laid crumbs for an interesting storyline, should you take the route that he joins any version of the Confederacy. Just because Palpatine is gone doesn't mean it wouldn't happen eventually. It is an inherent truth that all great governments eventually suffer the decay of corruption. We've seen it in the real world history with the Greek City-States, the Roman Republic and later the Roman Empire, and the British Empire.

The Galactic Republic, IMO, limped on due to the consistent guardianship of the Jedi, until the Jedi themselves became corrupted in a fashion, hence why they fell together.

I will continue reading now, but know that I haven't been intrigued by a story within 3 chapters in a very long time...

It's sad that the fight between Luke and Anakin had to end like it did, but one of them had to fall, and this story isn't anywhere near over yet, at least I hope it isn't. Like I've said before, I usually don't read Dark Luke fics, but this one has fascinated me and has kept me reading. Part of me still hopes that Luke will be redeemed in the end, but it's dwindling.

Who knew that Artoo Detoo would be so sneaky?! I love it! Hopefully what he's done will be enough to help the New Republic gain some headway in the future.

My heart is so heavy seeing Luke spiral down into the darkness. He is essentially walking in his father's footsteps from his own time, only this is much, much worse. Things seem pretty hopeless. There is arrogance on both sides and within the Jedi Order. Had the Senate not had their heads up their butts and supported Naboo, things may have gone differently. Had Luke not had his mind dazzled by all the money that Plageous had offered him, and been able to see through the deception, and if he would have gone to the Jedi to train under them, I think things would have been peaceful. But then, this wouldn't have been a very entertaining story had that happened, lol. Despite my heartache at seeing Qui-Gon Jinn die at the hands of a different Sith, Luke's descent into the Darkness along with Obi-Wan and Padmé, I'm still loving this story! It's truly fascinating and I can tell how hard you've been working to help it flow and to keep us hooked chapter after chapter. Wonderful, wonderful work! Please don't ever stop writing!
