This whole fiction ia brutal and honest, I respect that but that doesnt mean I like it. I did read it though, and I'm upset that you didn't conplete it and have it get a happy ending.

Is this story dead? Shame since I really liked this story and how Realistic you made Jaune's character.

I really love this interpretation of Jaune. It’s so damn true. He was prideful. He was weak. The Cardin scene was dark as hell, but I really like that. It makes Jaune actually weak. There’s a lot of times where authors try to sell that a character is weak with insults or light bullying. I’m glad you’re not pulling punches, especially when we get to see just how hard Jaune is working. It creates a feeling of hopelessness and anger that doesn’t surprise me how Jaune thinks he can solve Cardin or just the sheer NEED to beat him.

Love the interactions with Pyhrra and Ruby. Love Phyrra but she can be stifling and casts a big shadow. And the interactions with precious Rubaby is glorious. I like that I can interpret it as a crush or Ruby socially awkward. Jaune’s her first friend at Beacon and she’s so earnest and kind she’d probal want to spend LOTS of time with him. But she’s ACTUALLY SOCIAL AWKWARD.

Sorry, but that was a huge thing that never came back or showed up past like episode 2. And she makes so many pick-me-up speeches...

Anyway. Love this story. Love the way you characterize Jaune. And if you want someone to ping off of for this story or discuss it? I’d love to if you would like to.

I like this story but I can also completely understand the complaints about the final scene in chapter 3. It's not necessarily the contents of the scene but the timing.

While I don't think the crying and pissing himself was necessary, It would have been more appropriate if that scene took place in chapter one. Up until this point we've been watching Jaune grow and watching him work with heartfelt determination towards his goal. However this scene coming AFTER all of that feels as though it shits upon all of that development and all that work he was putting in. Having him get knocked down and shitted on by life is fine and to be expected but this was a little excessive. You could have conveyed this "fall" by simply having him get beat up, having him reflect negatively upon the events and bitterly limp away back to his room.

This story needs work if you're gonna continue with it. Not to mention a schedule. Everybody needs a schedule.

-Theres nothing wrong with Jaune's training regimen he just needs to take it up a notch and learn something new.
-A new skill or technique to add to his repertoire. A new addition to his moveset. Change up his fighting style.
-Jaune is definitely getting stronger for sure but he's not fighting any differently against Cardin than he's always been. Thats the problem. It's great seeing him work hard and be driven like no other but he needs something more.
-Maybe you can check fights between anime swordsmen for a technique to have Jaune learn. But he should go through incredibly harsh trials to learn something new to show how serious he is about getting stronger.

Jaune could learn a lot from the characters in One Piece. Ambition & Willpower are the keys to becoming great. But that also comes with relentless hard work.

Roronoa Zoro spends every second of his life training. Jaune is driven just like him.

Only difference is that Jaune needs to up his training regimen to something far harsher and difficult. To seek out difficult challenges, and be willing to risk his life to succeed at them.

What he needs is a get stronger or die situation to force him to grow. Pressure makes diamonds after all.
