This chapter felt rather short, but it was good. Jaune is as much of a lovable dork as ever and just as incompetent at fighting as I expected. I rather like your portrayal of Emerald so far and I'm very curious in seeing how her relationship with Jaune will develop.

Great chapter. It was interesting to watch Jaune's and Emerald's situation be resolved as well as get another opportunity to see Jaune interact with the other characters. I especially enjoy his interactions with Neo (though I will admit to being a bit biased here since she's a favorite character of mine).

OCs seem decently interesting so far, but I'd have to see more of them to form a solid opinion of them. I think Ginko Kin was my favorite of the bunch.

I look forward to reading the next two chapters and seeing how things turn out.

Man I feel bad for jaune he’s actually trying to learn which is a nice change from the usual Lollygagging Instead of self improving jaune we normally get. An actual self starter. I wonder will emerald find out what jaune was reading or will she blindly see what she wants to instead of reality (irony)

Glad to see this story updating again. How will Emerald distract Juanne. Probably not the way most people imagine. Of course dividing there time between managing Juane's shortcomings and their nefarious plans should be quite taxing to our Cinder and company. It would be ironic if he accidentally offered some valuable insight just when everyone had written off.

And, after washing Emeralds laundry, we find no eye patches as I speculated but rather boring under wear. Of course being committed to serving Cinder 24/7 probably doesn't leaver Emerald much time to be more fun. Perhaps Reese could joke with Emerald about how up tight she was being.
