Ooh, an actual reason Goku isn’t really gonna train for the Cell Games besides absolute faith in Gohan getting pissed off enough (assuming that’s even what’s gonna happen with this) to go Super Saiyan 2. Bit surprised it was Vegeta Krillin asked for help with.

It was kinda humanizing seeing Cell getting a bit nervous when starting to make the tile etchings, safety goggles and all. Were it not for Moonwater and her band of hippies showing up you could almost forget for a second he’s an genocidal monster. And Kami is officially gonna be gone in a day or two, so gonna miss him. He’s been a lot more grandfather like to everyone.

So, the woman that Cell killed was the android's mother, right? I wasn't sure who she was at first, but then I remembered when the androids talked about their parents some chapters ago and they mentioned she was part of a hippie commune or something...

A pretty nice and relaxing chapter overall. Guess the beginning of the Cell games will come next, and this is the last reprieve both the readers and the characters get before that.

But why not train in the HTC again instead of hinging it all on the hopes that Gohan will succumb to rage? Also why getting Gohan hurt? As much as I like Goku this was the one decision he took that always irked me
Unless off course the heart virus left some lasting damage and thus leaving him unable to ascend to ssj 2 without triggering a heart attack or so
And even if he couldn't, he should've nurtured Gohan's power, maybe stayed in HTC for a month and stockpiled even more ssj 1 power

Okay I really enjoyed Ranch sucking shit when Goku taught her that Gohan's finger gun attack was from Vegeta. I really think she's way too hard on the guy, always insulting him and shit. Sure, he's a dick, a real dick, but he's like that with everyone. If Ranch can't see past that, then she really needs to take her blinders off.

Nice how Gohan became Super Saiyan. Still a lot more training left for this family though!

Finally, a wholesome emotional chapter after nearly nonstop action and horror for the past 30 or so chapters. This is just the thing we really needed after everything that has happened and I'm glad you've taken this opportunity to continue with more character development. I really hope Goku doesn't have to sacrifice himself this time around.

Since we're nearing the end of the Android/Cell Saga I have a question: will you be covering Super or will you be ending this story after the Buu arc?

Nice to see how everyone is spending those ten days, even Cell. And about that, HOLY CRAP HE JUST MADE JUSTICE TO THE BROTHERS, KILLING THEIR CRAZY MOTHER! I mean, I get that he's handsome ngl, but you have to be a tad bit TOO MUCH crazy for wanting to do that.
Yaay, the older members of Team Three Stars going for some training, Krillin keeps being badass! 17 and Yamcha too, with their own training, that's cool too.
Dende coming up in the next episode, and after that one, either the Cell Games begin or just a show of the last day of peace where 18 recovers and wakes up.

So, I'm going to guess and say that what Bardock saw was the canon end of the Cell saga where they win, but Goku dies. And Goku is conflicted about leaving it to Gohan in this version. Still, really makes you think that they both need to talk with others.

Nice going leaving Android 18 there you idiots! Cell's just going to absorb her. At the very least, you could destroy her. I hate the idea of it, but it's not as bad as letting her get ingested again.

Ugh 17 is so very dumb! Dude should freaking escape. I get that he's pissed and wants to wreak vengeance on Cell, but getting absorbed is certainly not the answer.

Ohhh... Oozaru Force, eh? Pretty cool! It's a bit similar to what I have in my own fic "The Light to my Darkness". I call it the "Primal Form", except it just involves red irises, fangs and increased muscle-mass, no fur etc. :D

Cool how 16 and 17 devised that awesome strategy, though I still think Cell's definitely there. He can't be gone so easily. Nonetheless, all of this is such great character development, that's for sure.

I totally understand "Daikon" and Trunks' misgivings, but it should be clear to them that the 17 and 18 of this timeline aren't the same as the one in their own timeline. Moreover, they don't pose any threat. Vegeta or Raditz can easily disintegrate them.

TBH I prefer not seeing TFS jokes in fan-fics, because it lacks originality. I prefer your own, unique jokes a lot better.

Again, it's nice to see Suno and Eighter comforting Yamcha, in the face of his waning self-confidence.

You know maybe Toriyama should've remembered this, when he wrote Semi-Perfect Cell vs. Vegeta. Vegeta's a guy who's gotten all his power through sheer effort. One would imagine that he would despise someone like Cell, who just grows stronger by absorbing others. As such, why would he allow that bastard to absorb Android 18? Now that I think about it, that seems like a bit of a character contradiction on Toriyama's part.

Awesome how you did right by Vegeta's character, at least in your version of the story! I really prefer it this way. Even if Cell does get Perfect (most likely), at least it won't be due to a Vegeta (at least, not intentionally), so I'm pretty okay with that.

OMG, Raditz the idiot winding himself, eh? Why am I so surprised? Guess it's Vegeta vs. this version of semi-Perfect Cell. Should be a very fun battle! But again, I hope he doesn't botch things up this time. Cell will most likely absorb 17 again, but I hope Vegeta doesn't deliberately allow him to do it, at the very least.

I love how 16 is constantly informing Cell about his chances of victory, whilst pounding the crap out of him at the same time. It's a very effective strategy. It makes Cell more and more anxious, frustrated and angry and he's further able to capitalize on it. Really amazing how you explored the deeper aspects of 16's abilities.
