People condemn OCs just because they are OCs and not a character from the franchise, which is kinda sad. When you're doing stuff with an OC... how do I put this...
It's fun, to be honest.
You get to determine their strengths and weaknesses, both physically, mentally, and emotionally. You get to determine their personalities too.
A lot of people experiment with that by making a gender bend character, like you did with Madara. It's just that it usually isn't a complete OC, since they usually have some form of the character's personality from the franchise.
