I mean, 697 chapters of bonding and character development and relationship progression pretty much kills your theory dead in the water, but I guess being willfully blind is indeed a thing people do. I guess the people who ship Naruto with the stalker queen just read an entirely different manga and saw an entirely different anime than the rest of the rational, logical people in the world. Who knew there were two different versions of Naruto out there. You also tend to conveniently forget the sheer amount of retconning that had to happen in the shitfest of a movie that I'm sure you consider to be your holy grail. Face facts, you only got canon due to Kishimoto developing a hard on for Sasuke and gave him pretty much everything Naruto ever wanted. Hinata never even entered Naruto's mind until Kishimoto decided to lock in SasuSaku and destroy his manga by tossing aside logic and reason to give his favorite character things he never deserved. 15 years of his life barely knowing the Stalker Queen, her ladyship Hinatits, even existed most surely acres true love right? Wake up and realize the truth, NaruSaku is the better ship, and deep down? You already know that. Which is why you try to trash it so hard.

This was amazing! I love naruhina and i always knew that they we're going to end up together. When i would read comments about narusaku fans making these points about how sakura was the best choice for naruto they always said the same thing. "Shes strong and he needs a strong women", "They have history", "He loves her so they should be together" or "i hate hinata so naruto should be with sakura".
It was mostly the same thing, and i couldnt see how narusaku could possibly work out if it was because sakura was strong, or because naruto supposedly "loved" sakura back in there younger days even tho he didnt understand love & and didnt know there are different types of im not bashing on there shipping b/c anyone can ship what they want but for those who bash on naruhina there just in denial.
I Shipped naruhina together because she was the first girl to ever see him as a human being then just a demon child or a "baka". If naruto wasnt on team 7 then i believe his crush for sakura would have disappeared instantly. If sakura was on a different team then she wouldnt have even glanced his way. Hinata was on team 8 the entire show and still you see her cheering him on .
Now if you really think about it. If hinata came to naruto as a child, wanting to be his friend in the beginning then there would be no comparing hinata to sakura. More people would probably be cheering on naruhina because she befriended him first, But kishimoto wanted a love triangle which he messed up on. Even still im glad how things turned out and even though they didnt have a lot of moments together, im glad there married and have children , because there so different but the same. They fit in my eyes. everything turned out greatly.

I'm sometimes MORE pissed off by "NaruHina fans" who DON'T realize the reasons why NaruHina WORKS, instead claiming stuff like "they look good together" or "they are canon" or something even less relevant to the ACTUAL reason why NaruHina is my OTP in the sense of actually being my ONLY ship until then. And to be honest, my next currently "unresolved" ship is Amourshipping, which if you are familiar with, shall immediately explain to you WHY I ship it to begin with. Because,yes, Serena IS Pokenata, no matter what the blind haters say. Every single hint points in that direction, and one must really be blind or a fanatical hater to "not see" them. This was my first Naruto Fanfic I read... how wonderful!
I never, ever even want to understand those NaruSaku fans. They could knock their heads against the Cannon wall for all I care.
Also, so happy you made a reference about Hinata against Pain. Oh boy, that was my favorite scene in the series. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time while watching it, literally.

Took about amazing timing a fic about Himawari birth came out the day after the Boruto ep where Naruto and Himawari had some father daughter bonding. I loved it Naruto being so worried and Hinata giving death threats for not letting Naruto I like more then Hinata giving those threats to Naruto.

Also as a fellow NaruHina shipper since part 1 have to agree Naruto always seemed to react that special way for Hinata. I just wished you included the manga moment where when Naruto rushed over he grabbed Hinata's hand when he went to check on her would have been so good and could have been something Sakura realised, but Naruto didn't at the time.

Final thing though I don't think Naruto ever said he loved Sakura like he invited her out, but almost exclusively after she got rejected by Sasuke. The only time he didn't was when he came back to the village in part 2.
