Sorry, i've got a little lost. When does Naofumi begin being suspicious about Mein's identity?

A part from that, very good chapter, it helps in the understanding of this world, even if they are just theorizing about it.
I like the depth you're giving to the three other heroes, i hope they evolve as characters and overcome their personal problems. I hope that one day all four heroes fight shoulder to shoulder, having left their differences aside.

Great chapter. I’ve been. Following this like crazy because I think your portrayal of the world is far better than canon. I actually got burned out on RotSH because of how much it just feel generic in later episodes.
And as a West Virginian, I appreciate your affectionate parody of “CountryRoads.”

Ah, Mein once again cements her image in Naofumi's eyes as a mother figure. Even though its less a mother scolding a child and more Mein scolding a servant and Naofumi lacks context to distinguish it. In a way, Mein is grooming Rapthalia into a servant and as she grows into a mistress (though out of sight and because Mein's cultural upbringing and context means she has already accepted Naofumi will have mistresses and might as well be one that she controls and has the loyalty of).

mmm well done man, thaks for the answers. about this chapter, I liked how you portrayed the "heroes" not as monodimensional characters but as real people, justifying their "videogame" quirks as means to cope with their thraumas, Itsuki is the best example. Also about the previous heroes, I really like to read a fanfic about that iteration of heroes, with a bad end heaven's feel Shirou, a Kirito that died by the drug he was injected (instead of waking up in Underworld he really die), a Makoto killed like the anime and... man i don't know WHO IS MIKAGE MIKAMI, seriously, I've found in Google an anime called "god sweeper mikami" but i doubt mikami come from that work

How successful were the two Siltvelt not-Ravens at relaying Naofumi’s theory to prevent another war?

One question is, when will Naofumi confront Mein about his suspicions?
Knowing for sure how she stoods to the king or if or if she has not allies and recources somewhere might - from his p.o.v - be useful in the close future.

Also Amagis theory seems to make a lot of sense if you have the same knowledge as the heroes.

But Queen Mirellia is good waifu uwu...

Ren's theory makes a disturbing amount of sense. Especially after we know Naofumi DID play a game compatible with this world... And got it's version of Raphtalia.
If I think that I was just going to quip that Ren, Motoyasu and Itsuki had passed Hero Trials, in a way...

Interesting and surprisingly rare to see NAofumi having a worthwhile talk with one of the other heroes.

and even if the theory sounds ridiculous- it is somewhat plausible, and not easy to disprove. Also for people who are familiar with ISekai genre, and read a lot about it (or play games about it) it is NOT obscure or stupid idea when getting into such a situation.

But i do agree that all three have ... issues...
Spear has issues about women and Bow has issues too... Naofumi gets his issues from King Aultcry and bitch. ;)

So for one thing, Ren's last name should be Amaki instead of Amagi.

I'm not too sure what you were doing with "the (I)Shield(I) Hero", but I don't assume it's intentional.

Also, what does Wolfgang growing larger imply?

Another intriguing interlude, unexpected, but not unwelcomed.

The three weapon heroes being psychologically damaged rather than suffering from terminal incompetence? It feels more believable than the actual canon, I'll say that much. Not only that, but it create another interesting point of contrast with our main guy Naofumi, what with how he's the only one who didn't die to get to Melromarc, which..admitedly goes a long way to explaining why he leagues ahead of the other three, mentally speaking.

I feel I should give Reprisal of the Spear Hero another look. After seeing things in this story I think I might enjoy it in a completely fresh way now.

Ren: Intelligent and mentally sound.
Also Ren: We'll just leave this giant monster corpse lying around. I'm sure it won't be a problem.

Weird thought: The three mentally unstable heroes are the three who were killed before being summoned. Maybe surviving/resurrecting didn't do their minds any favors.

Phew... I kinda want to punch Ren in the face, but his logic is just as sound as the logic of waking up in a whole new world in the first place that just so happens to use game mechanics.
