Hey Ruby. I know you are stressed about the whole Adam thing and all but here have another reason to hate the White. D

It will be an interesting change of pace for Ruby to have a clear achievable goal for once. The only question is how much permanent damage has Jaune suffered already?

Nicholas must have really struggled to gain enough sense of mind to remember Ruby and get that letter written. Now Ruby has another mission to deal with. She basically needs to save Cinder and Adam, as well as reaching for Jaune too.

This next part is for some of the older chapters but it's interesting seeing the views of the white arcana in different people. Goodwitch for example was furious at the very idea of Ruby questioning it. But Ozpin seemed more open to it all. Perhaps because he actively sees the flaws for what they are rather than outright seeing the white arcana as the true authority? Since he has only appeared a few times outright it's hard to get his overall view, since he has a duty to those under him but he seems far more lenient than any of the others around him.

Welp.

I love how Ruby lashed out at Sun and Weiss XD It was pretty funny, if only because they eventually managed to get her to open up a bit. :)

Fuck I am loving this story. This is the type of drama that is absolutely wonderful to read.

Good lord, this is far from good. Pros to Weiss for trying to gain a better view of the situation, but it says a lot that she still views Adam as a criminal, even though he never did anything wrong. Just goes to show you how bad the situation, as well as how ingrained the White Arcana is. Try as she might to avoid it, there's only one way to really fix it, and that's going to require a revolution. Ruby may end up having to lead a rebellion to put an end to the White Arcana for good if she wants to save the other Wildmages and Jaune, but it will be far from clean. Battle lines are going to have to be drawn, and this may not turn out as well as she may hope. Some of her friends will ally with her, others will turn against her, and I have a sad feeling Weiss may end up being the latter.

Oh no, Ruby's gonna start looking into the Huntsmen. This can only end well I'm sure. Also can I just say, I absolutely love her reverting to a more 'slum' way of speaking and behaving, albeit temporarily. I'm looking forward to seeing Cinder and Adam again, especially given everything that's happened. And god are you good at making me despise the White Arcana. Until next time, mate!

The White are monsters

Time to revolt against the White. No Gods, No Masters!

Looks like we are transferring into another arc. Weiss looks like she is still trying to find a middle ground, unaware that there isn't one between right and wrong. And of course the white do not give up what they have acquired, even while trampling all over what they claim to represent, and Ruby is going to be visiting her friends in the sanctum, looking forward to the next chapter.

Government...they want to help, as a concept. But that help can become telling you what to do and not do. From there, they intrude on the territory of the fundamental property that makes you real. Makes you something more than what you're born as.

The white will choke and die on their pillaging of this territory, and everyone will suffer for it. What will be the point in all of that? Ruby will fix it, but the pain won't be forgotten or stopped. Hell, maybe it shouldn't be.

I am starting to think the whole Guards organisation only exists as a selection process for Huntsmen. With the White and Crimson sho in their right mind is going to attack anyway.

Ah good ol Sun to the rescue once again. I wish Blake could’ve gotten this treatment in canon. I’m really glad to see more of Sun and Adam in your stories Coeur. Their characters are so underrated.

The White has fully commandeered the Archives, using the Grimm as an excuse to plunder the library. They’re not even trying to hide it, do they seriously think they’re fooling anyone? Calling it now, the Azure are going to be the 1st Arcana to rebel against the White once Ruby and Adam start the Uprising. I just hope Weiss can fully see the white for what it is and understand that Wildmages aren’t the enemy. Hopefully then Weiss can begin her journey to reform the White.

Ren about to spend some alone time with Nora! Alright! Hopefully he’ll see how awesome she is.

Last but not least, poor Nicholas Arc. The poor guy can’t even remember his Wife’s name. Thankfully he realized what’s happening to Jaune and has tasked Ruby with saving him.
This letter has brought some serious insight into the shattered minds of the Huntsmen. Imagine if they’re all like that. Desperately trying to reclaim their conscience that has gradually faded away. Memories, emotions, relationships, their very identities stolen from them so they could be weapons for the White. Man I hope Jaune doesn’t end up like his dad. Please let him break free.
