Another Idea is if Jaune had a child then make the child Cinder Fall because then you will not have to worry about making a new character and two you could have an interesting arc around this.

Pretty good fic, though the transition between scenes could be smoother.

As for pairing, I'd say Chiffon or Gretchen. They might be OC, but as long as they're developed well enough,it could be better than picking canon characters. Especially since the canon girls around him are only Summer, Raven, and of which have a close relationship nor 'synergy' with him, at all. Kali Beladonna(?) and Willow schnee could be a good candidate, but she's on a different continent (Though it could be argued they're on different social circle too, so even less possible)

while overall i would give this story an 8/10, the word choice could be a little more varied and complex.

otherwise, i think the only obvious criticism is the lack of surprises or hard-to-spot foreshadowing, but thats mostly just personal preference

Your execution was ok. I kinda disliked the reason why they picked jaune. Picking him because he “turned to illegal means to go to beacon” was weak in my opinion. Jaune going beast mode when his dad said they didn’t look like they deserved to be huntsmen—I never thought jaune would be so angry with his dad that he’d go ballistic since it was a long time ago and he seemed to have moved on with it on future episodes. Didn’t really think he could whoop his old man’s ass up since in the future after the fall of beacon and forward he seemed to be on the level of adequate skill but not like someone who dedicated his childhood to training.

So Roman started to steal because it was necessary, and later on he liked to steal so he became a Master Thief. And going by the shelter... Will Neo be there at some point?

And with Mavros and Xiao getting married later on... This means that Junior is the Malachites's big brother? Anyway it was cool to see a bit more of the life of Roman (with Oobleck) and Mavros outside Beacon.

If Jaune and Raven got together, I think there child should be called Jay as in Blue Jay.
