I read build breakers and part of me thought this was gonna spin off into a beyblade crossover.

Io Fleming: Alright Mercury's Debut is awesome as heck. His gunpla really compliments him, a kitbash of the Kimaris Variations with design aspects from FA Gundam (Thunderbolt Ver.) If there is a nitpick about him that is he should be blasting his jazz music in the battlefield, not only on his headset but full on speakers. But anyway the chapter is really good, and it seems like a wakeup call to the protagonists and really get them upgrades on the Gunpla underway. Team Godslayer, seems to be as sinister as to their canon counterparts, albeit a bit tamed.

[I would like to see Mercury use a kitbash of Atlas Gundam and FA Gundam (Thunderbolt Ver.) as his practice gunpla though since he idolizes Io and all.]

Its always a pleasure to read more Build Fighters stories and one as well put together as this is a real gem. had a real snicker when I realized that Hazel being 7,2 and the controls being seemingly the same for everyone, anyone watching this absolute unit use the tiny little controls as well as anybody would be hilarious.

Have you considered placing the Character Bios as a separate story entirely? Cuz, to be blunt, its rather annoying to find out that half of the story is Character Bio.

This is such a wonderful of a Gundam Build Fighters FanFiction! Since reading Admiral Muffin's GBF spin-off fanfictions. The pacing is great, no character is ooc, and little to no grammar mistakes. (I usually ignore this, since english isn't my first language) and putting the Thunderbolt Sector, you just made a man happy.

I would like to make a request if you will. I would like to see an oc or use Mercury Black as a Io Fleming-esque character. Or even reincarnate Io into this fiction of yours. Like when battling, freestyle jazz can be heard and he has a brutal yet efficient style of fighting, and even when using tons of Long Range Weaponry he can still be devasting upclose just by using fists and standard beam sabers. But when not in battle he has a Daryl Lorenz type of personality. If you indulged me on this request. You truly made a man happy.

What a wonderful story! I like the overall plot and the ideas for the Gunplas. It does need a lot of polishing though ...

Trust me, I DO read the reviews, and have already implemented changes to certain things both in the future plannings for chapters in the story, and, as shown with the early release of chapter five and its character bios, in attempts to rectify any negative feelings about the chapter content, length, or the long wait times.

To directly answer your concern, Daemon, the fact is this: I’m trying my hardest to keep the chapters under 10,000 words. Most of the chapters I’ve written so far are between 2500 and 6,000, with many of them sitting at around 5,000.

While many of the chapters have had character bios that would not have pushed it to the 10,000 work max im setting for myself, there are a few chapters, both being worked on and being planned out, that feature far too many characters or will feature the Gunpla of characters already introduced but who have not yet had their Gunpla shown on screen yet, such as Raven.

In an effort to remain consistent, those chapters would have to have their bios separated from the main chapter, and if I’m going to do that with a few chapters, I have made the decision to do that with ALL chapters for consistency’s sake alone. It was my decision both to ease editing and to allow me to easily remain in a format that will eventually become familiar, as so far it already has, since its what I’ve been doing from the beginning.

That is why they are separated, and why I want them to remain separated.

Again. The characters sheet can be included in the actual chapter, what's so hard in adding it to the actual chapter? You're the first of many that does it and doesn't learn from his/her/its reviews that can improve the fic.

Honestly, the issue right now with where they are is I wanted to be able to set up the following two chapters, because from chapters 6 on a LOT is going to be happening. I’m actually working on chapter 9 right now and it’s going to be a doozy. I’m only about halfway done and it’s going on well over 3500 words!

The story is a huge undertaking and has a lot of complicated parts. After the first three chapters, I wanted to show that there is some setup that needed to be done. There are going to be a couple of chapters similar to this but I promise: the payoff should be worth the wait, especially after the Gundam Build Fighters characters begin trickling into the story, which begins in Chapter 5 a little bit and goes full tilt from chapters 7 on. I won’t say HOW, but it should make up for what appears to be something of a lacking chapter.
