I enjoy that, much like the main series, Jaune isn't as good at the thing he's doing but still understands the fundamentals enough to be a fantastic leader.

And Yang notices it too. Jaune clearly has a knack for boxing even and knows the sport really well, even if his execution of it was unfortunately lacking.

Understandable Yang is easily upset at Arslan. Not sure what Arslan is trying to prove here unless she's just trying to hype the fight. Which I guess is fine but still seems kinda silly to do for a fight at their level.

When I read the summary I assumed it was going to be like the 'Saotome-Senshu, Hitakakusu' manga where a talentless but knowledgeable male boxer is confessed to by a super talented female one in his school and becomes her coach to hide there relationship
I assumed it would be Jaune and Pyrrha is those roles
Though I hope you go with Jaune x Yang over Pyrrha if do pairing

Just splurged your story, really enjoying it so far. I'm hoping to see Jaune train himself up a bit, but the teaching dynamic makes for a nice story too.

I just finished watching a boxing anime on Netflix called Levius (whose main character looks suspiciously like Jaune), so a story about boxing popped out to me and I just had to try it.

An enjoyable read, I really like the development so far. Even though I still think Yang is kind of a bitch, it adds to the development.

Only reason Yang is snippy is because she knows you're right and you've been the most help to her up to this point. And that's really just Yang in a nutshell.

Jaune isn't "worse" than Yang. She just has a lot more power behind her. Jaune makes up for it in speed and agility.

Jaune's confidence is not a battle I want him to fight. I realize it's a common battle in stories that have him be basically pre-Volume 3 Jaune, but I still grumble.

So Yang is also a boxer. Not surprising given her fighting style. If Jaune feels like he belongs than that's an obvious sign.

I'm curious how this will all work out though. Jaune isn't an incompetent boxer, though I have a feeling this is taking a "those who can't do, teach" approach. That's fine, but Jaune CAN do. I just don't want him to be put-down for his ability or whatever. There's other negatives he can face besides his own shortcomings.

Oh and Yang is an egotistical prick. Nice to know. Please don't let "Wire-frame" become like "Vomit Boy." I detest the latter enough that the former is just worse in this situation.

I do like the approach you're going for. Just because you're not good (I begrudgingly type) or "as good" as others in the same sport or profession doesn't mean you don't understand it or grasp the concept enough to teach others.

I like a Jaune who can give what he gets verbally. Kudos for him giving it to Yang.
