Very nice implementation and well written - even that you already used to grab passages in a new light. I liked it but there are always such sad stories.

Oh my goodness... I'm officially in love with your writing. I can't even fathom how you put all of these amazingly complicated moments and emotions into words but however you do it, you're pretty darn good at it!

I liked how you've alternated the story between Sakumo and Minato, Obito and Rin and still kept the Heroes Stone as a connecting thread. Kakashi's introspection and reflection is so moving... I absolutely loved the mention of 'the breathing of the last two Hatake' and then the later mention of 'the breathing of the last Hatake'. I thought such a simple repetition was actually quite impactful. But I have to say that the one line that really had me stunned was about the blood being a 'red mockery of tears'... Amazing work! )

I like that you wrote it in anachronic order. :)

Oh, wow, this is just really, really, really sad. And amazingly well written. I love the focus of it, and, well, its just AMAZING. I mean, its amazingly sad, but you just manage to put the emotion into words so well. And the motions of Kakashi, a boy who is forced to grow up too fast. *shrugs* Amazing.

Oh, wow. I loved the last section. We all know how Kakashi's father died, but I've never ever pictured it. I guess vaguely I imagined it was done in an isolated area and that Kakashi only found out when the body was found and reported back. The scene you wrote is a lot more dramatic and impacting. And is it true that the mission Sakumo failed in was one that would have ended the war? I don't remember that detail being in the manga.

This made me cry. The mourning in this piece is palpable throughout. It is beautiful and spare - an elegy. I especially like how you play with time, first forward than back, then forward again, skipping around from one loss to another. I'm grateful I met you, and that I can read your beautiful writing.

Wow, that was... wow. I loved the whole Kakashi-Yondaime part about the Heroes' Stone. That was truly inspirational.

Nicely done. Though I didn't recognize who the woman at the start was. Rin? Excellent characterization and description. And your view of how the boss toad would treat his summoner's death was nicely done. Keep writing!
