Naruto fought extremely pathetic before you had his eyes freak out. Like really, REALLY badly. Pretty sure academy Naruto from canon would have fought better . . .

I kind of figured the reason shadow clones aren't used by the Hokage is that they are supposed to split your chakra. So one shadow clone means your real body is at 50% chakra, and everyone besides Naruto doesn't regenerate their chakra back at silly speeds. So you'd have a Hokage at half strength, which is a weakness for the village.

Btw, how is he going to explain any of this? His team should have had his corpse so can't just play it off as a bloodline . . .
