Few stories actually make my eyes burn with tears. Few stories take an entire day of my time to read. Few stories put me on the edge of my seat, reading with anticipation as to what will happen next. Your story has done all three.
THIS was an INCREDIBLE story, and I've never felt so much passion for Royai ever before. The hints of Parental!RoyEd was wonderfully captured as well, and Roy's thoughts as well as Hughes were incredibly well explored.
The idea of exploring Mustang's past and uncovering his ancestry is quite an original idea, one I've honestly never seen done before. I've had a similar idea before, but not to THIS level! You spread out the mystery throughout the chapters. You described everything in crisp detail.
I have nothing but praise for this story, and as such this is DEFINITELY going on my Favorites list.

Look. I KNOW you finished this story darn near a decade ago, but it needs to be said a million times over. This story was amazing. Your writing style is so lively and captivating. The story had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I started at 4am and knew I needed to sleep so I closed my laptop. And then immediately opened it again to keep reading because I just couldn't NOT do it! Fantastic work. I aspire to write like you!

This was such a fantastic read. I love the way you nailed everything so well, the plot was interesting - I was totally kept on my toes the entire time cause I had no idea what would happen! I didn't know what to expect from the "bad guys" and Roy's death was super intense but it was also so relieving to see that he was okay in the end and the way he ended up surviving was an intriguing concept and wow.. I just have no words.

Plot aside, the characters and their relationships were spot on too! Roy and Hughes' close friendship was a joy to see, Roy and Riza.. AAAA I LOVE THEM SO MUCH and you just nailed their dynamic so well and it was fantastic, Ed and Roy, too, were done so well, the way they just grew to respect one another was great.

I feel like I have so many thoughts about the story but I'm not really all that good at putting them into words, but honestly, this is easily one of my favorite stories now. I loved it a LOT. Thank you for writing it!

Such a well done death scene. I had to come back and re-read it because of the impact. You gave a human quality to it that surpasses any sacrificial hero death. Allowing the hero of Ishval to be human and scared was wonderful. And having Knox by his side... Thanks for this!

I literally thought I'll die...damn! A second ago I was nearly crying and a sec later couldn't stop laughing ! You're an incredible writer! THANK YOU for not killing Roy or Riza or both...and Hughes ! This was a carousel of emotions ...mixed emotions that killed my heart at some points!
