It makes me sad that this story will never have an official ending (cause it is by far the best fanfic I’ve ever read... ever), but I suppose the last chapter is conclusion enough. Thank you for this masterpiece, I’ll reread it forever.

This hits me right in the feels. You did such an amazing job with this, and it's truly one of the best MinaKushi fics out there. Since I've given up all hope of you ever returning to it, I just want you to know that you are an amazing writer, and that this fic will always be one of my favourites.

I loved this. It wasn't something I thought I needed, but damn. You're an amazing author. Your characterizations are unique yet still so believable. I really felt like you showed us who Minato and Kushina were. It's beautiful. I hope you are really proud of what you've accomplished. It's obvious you worked very hard on this. It left me wanting to stick with them for a bit longer, lol, but thank you for giving us the ending that you did. I hope that you achieve all the peace, success, and fortune that you desire.

While you wrote "TBC" at the end of this chapter, I personally feel like this works as an ending.

Yes, you never marked it as "complete" either and you obviously dropped the story but all things considered...

this is as good as any place to end the story and let canon/the reader fill in the blanks.

Dear author, how Minato finds out about Kushina's jinchuuriki status is (one of) my favorite parts of this story. It was totally EXPLOSIVE and so much fun to read! I especially loved reading his interactions with his visitors in the hospital. Little Kakashi is so perceptive (i adore the idea of him scrubbing the floor with Inoichi and Shikaku when they play poker) and of course he knew about how Minato really got injured... love how whip smart he is! And i really loved reading minato and Ren's scene. It seemed like such a cathartic moment for minato - I can only imagine his frustration. For months now all he's heard are snippets here and there; people alluding to Kushina's "condition" and claiming it's all classified and he doesn't have clearance to know this critically important "something" about the only woman he's ever loved. i thought he was going to lose his shit with Ren, but as always - the way you framed the scene, with him quietly seeking Kushina out at the cemetary was so much more impactful. Kushina confessing that sakumo told her she needed to tell Minato or leave him was so heartbreaking.. especially in light of what Mikoto disclosed to him at the hospital. And that ending... when he shakily stretches out an arm for a hug and tells her he loves her is so amazingly romantic... and so THEM. It's crazy how invested i've become in these two over the course of the story; TGFW breathes life and personality and depth into Minato and Kushina in a way that I've never read in any other fic. It is a story I keep coming back to again and again,and there are no words to describe how much I love it. THANK YOU SO MUCH for writing and sharing this with us!

Dear author... I absolutely love the pacing and momentum of this story! This fic just DOES. NOT. LET. UP. and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it! The opening was absolutely GUTTING. I know we get that barest blip in canon where we see tiny kakashi standing in front of his father's body, but I was always foaming at the mouth to know more. I read fanfiction for stories like TGFW - this fic answers all the questions canon left hanging, and (in my humble opinion) creates a story that is far richer and superior than what we got in the manga! That scene with little Kakashi and Minato is priceless; knowing Kakashi pried that sabre covered in Sakumo's blood off his body is horrifying, and I thought you portrayed his trauma perfectly. There was no tantrum or wailing or screaming and yet - as a reader, I could feel Kakashi's shock and bone deep grief. When you read this, you just know this kid will never be the same again. And that funeral... it was so disturbing how this small child didn't show any emotion at all. Finally, I LOVE how Minato finally figured out it was Orochimaru behind the abductions! Given everything that happened with Sakumo, I never expect this to be revealed in this chapter - but of course, this story always manages to catch my by surprise no matter how many times I read it! as always, thank you so much for writing and sharing another stellar installment with us!

oh my gawwwwwd... Dear author, this chapter always blindsides me no matter how many times I read it. I was so sure Minato's father was likely a Senju, until his conversation with Han. I'm not sure if this was intentional - but perhaps the idea that the truth about Minato's paternity could go either way was the whole point? And the revelation that a man in a mask with one eye hole killed Midoriko is stunning. it's extraordinary to think that Madara was plotting and planning this far back... did he intentionally go after Midoriko as some sort of indirect vandetta? Is that why he merely maimed (but didn't kill) the grandson of his worst enemy - the Nidaime? Also, I love how all of the scenes in this chapter seem to converge into a glorious riptide. While the events they address are parts of canon, I'm in awe of how they play into one another in this story. Orochimaru being caught, Anko's cursed seal, the start of the 3rd Shinobi war, SAKUMO'S SUICIDE... i can't even. Thank you so much for another STUNNING chapter!
