This is my favorite fight in all of fanfiction. The entire thing is epic. Using the chakra control seal as a bluff with the lightsaber was brilliant and hilarious. There are so many interesting ideas explored in this fic, it inspired me to write my own for fun. Thanks for all the time you put into this entire masterpiece of a story, I enjoyed every minute of it, multiple times through!

This story is so amazing! I'm glad to have experienced it, but sad to have reached the end of what is available to read. Thank you for creating this. It's really brilliant!

What a powerful scene that was, it still hits me every time but I wish I could back to when I was first breathlessly reading this momentous instance

OK! So! I have read 112 chapters of this story over three days (so far!) and loved every second of it - filler and film related content and all!

I remember when I started on this story I dreaded reading 150~ chapters of a story. And now I'm dreading reaching that end point of this incomplete work because I don't want it to end!

I love Shikako to absolute bits - she's clever and resourceful and just really great! Her relationship with her family and friends is so beautiful and well thought out! I love all of her character development - her getting stronger and more experienced and knowledgeable in various areas. I can't wait to see all of the changes she is going to make - because I love the ones she's already made (like Sasuke staying in Konoha, warning Jinchuuriki and her gaining information on Akatsuki from Gaara and handing it to Tsunade).

The reason I thought to stop and comment now (rather than just at the end so far) is because seeing her interactions with Kankurou I started thinking about future ships for her. With the premise that she is interested in boys (because if she's lived a life before you would expect she already knows where her interest lies and she seems to have indicated that way), then I can see a few good options for her. Sasuke is an obvious choice - he changed his whole mindset because of her and stayed in Konoha because of her and the rest of his team (maybe even because of the rest of Konoha 12 too). Kiba is maybe an option - I think he's OK as a possibility for her, he can mature and calm down a bit and they are very good friends. Sai too, maybe, depending on what he's like later on? In the same vein as Sai, Gaara is also an option depending on what happens in the future (because he already trusts her a lot and this is very important in any kind of relationship). But, I think the option the interests me the most is Kankuro - they have such a strong rapport, they can both put on performances with their skills (so possible shared interests in a way?) and he even has a nickname for her - Sparky - which is really quite a flirty thing to do. Also, it feels like a interesting switch-around from canon - because in canon Shikamaru was with Temari but in this he's with Tenten (for now?), so Shikako being with Kankuro is just one of this changes that I find interesting.

Anyway, it was fun thinking of future romances, but know that I am supportive of anything you choose as long as it is decently developed and makes sense (and is within her age range)! In fact, I am fully supportive of whatever you choose to do with this story (admittedly, a tragic ending would make me very sad, though, so please, happy ending?) - this is the adventure you are creating and I am fully on board. Thank you so much for this wonderful story!

Honestly this is an amazing story that I would hate to die off. I can’t wait for Shippuden to come along as well. Throughout this entire story you have thrown me loop for loop with these plot twists and plot fill ins. You are an amazing author that has a knack for detail and intricate theories/plot lines. I hope to hear more from you and this story soon.

Well well well. Just blizted through this monster in two days and I gotta say, every single expectation I had was met and exceeded. No wonder you're a bit of a legend in the Naruto literature community.

Reading through nine years of work, it's really obvious how much you've improved. I don't think I've noted any spelling mistakes for ten chapters or so now, which, wow. Do you have a beta? Because I would totally volunteer to be your beta. DOS is the best thing I've read in a long while, and I honestly love that you worked in the fillers that I never bothered with before.
