If he really love Hinata as he say he does than why is he still friend with sakura.

No offence I don't want Hinata to be with someone else but I think that because I won't be able to take it if you do please show that Hinata still loves Naruto.

Also I think making it family is ok but not sure because it would seem that Hinata only forgive him for there son.

I think Naruto should a bit anger at Hinata for keeping his son from and kurenai for keeping Hinata from him but above all make him at himself for not being there for his son and Hinata, you should mention this to Hinata so she sees just how hurt he his over it.
