This story is literally SOOO SWEET! I love how realistic it is! It’s a really fitting end for the story. Thank you for writing such a realistic Snily story. I don’t really know now whether I’ll be able to find as good of a story as this one in the future. Kudos to you, and great work!

Fucking amazing

God this feels weird. It’s my second time reading and I never thought of this before. But I feel like Severus should just seek forgiveness from Lily and gone off to a tropical island straight up. Put his memory in a Pensieve and leave it to Lily so they could defeat Voldemort, and just leave. The amount of pain and grief where Lily is involved, for more than 20 years, I can’t imagine what kind of happiness could take care of that. Watching someone you love with all your heart fall in love with your nemesis, starts off a family with him, and spend the next 20 something years protecting her son, who constantly remind you of her choice. That is a permanent scar. He had to live with the memory of it, because he had to make up for his mistake. Now that it’s over, he might as well just Obliviate himself so he would no longer suffer from it. What he needs is someone to put the shattered pieces of his heart together, and I don’t know if Lily can manage that when herself will be mourning the loss of her second chance with James and Harry. In your story it worked, and the only explanation I could think of is a miracle, perhaps a higher being had mercy on Severus.

*Sigh in gut wrenching* How this must feel for Snape. He gave all he had in his life trying to redeem himself. Despite how much Harry reminded him of his failure, he still protected the boy until last breath. All for Lily. Then in this afterlife, he once again gave all he got, saving Lily from a deadly curse. I could only imagine how he feels after Lily ran away, the realization that she’s going back to the Marauders, and he would have no choice but to watch the scene unfold once more...Everything he did, still not enough to change anything. God this is so hard for him.

This is good. For real. Man actually if I were to be honest this is CRAZY Good. Honestly, it is not the on-point characterization, amazing plot, and unbelievably good dialogue that amazed me the most. It is the fact that your work helped me understood a whole lot about Lily and Severus’ relationship in canon. There was a point before when I had a lot of questions, like why didn’t she accept Sev’s apology, and why didn’t he listened to Lily. Now I understand. Wow, this is just brilliant.

It is the best Severus fanfic I have ever read. Well written, awesome character development, not boring, and a brilliant comprehension of the human psique, put toguether in this 25 chapters of a second chanced love story. Great job. Really. One can see the maturity and emotional intelligence of the author. You nailed it.
