Reviews for Reaping the Whirlwind
fitz2 chapter 1 . 7/23/2017
I love it!
Guest chapter 1 . 3/3/2017
The point isn't who started it. The point it that absolutely everyone thinks that it was horrible for Harry to say not-nice things th someone who had JUST MURDERED DUMBLEDORE RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS EYES! And apparently that means that it's Harry's fault that Voldemort won. Oh yeah, and the Snape of this story is definitely a villain, because he threw his weight behind Voldemort (torture as detentions, anyone?). I really have no idea what you were thinking with this; the events are plausible, but the emphasis is idiotic.
Ogrebear chapter 1 . 5/16/2016
Interesting analysis of the HP story- like all action adventures, if seen from outside the narrative of the protagonist then the tale seems very egocentric.

You didn't make clear Harry's choice in this tale- did he stay dead and join his parents and godfather?
Ferm chapter 1 . 12/25/2014
great one shot.
Granatapfel chapter 1 . 10/11/2014
No, Severus did not start it. Ron and Harry were making faces to each other in the first potion lesson.
Then Snape came down on Harry like a ton of bricks, who was unprepared for class and did mouth off.
Poor Little Harry being all silent and innocent is pure movie canon.
Kairan1979 chapter 1 . 4/20/2014
While the other could see Harry's actions as attention seeking, that doesn't excuse Snape. He saw Harry's mind during Occlumency lessons. He knew Harry wasn't James 2.0.; he knew Harry had a miserable childhood (hell, he knew Petunia and her hatred of Lily, so it's easy to deduce Harry isn't going to grow up happy in Dursley household). Snape just allowed his hatred for James blind him.
Surely it's a Dumbledore's fault that world came to that situation, but it's Snape's fault too.
Saint Snape chapter 1 . 6/16/2013
I like this from Severus' point of view. He was kept in the dark so much by Dumbledore and I don't buy that crock that Dumbles thought he might slip up and Voldy find out stuff. After all that time it was obvious Severus was a master at subterfuge. Dumbles just liked keeping stuff close to the vest and being in control and manipulating people. Severus got shortchanged. I could see why he would think Harry was just like his father and wasn't deserving of his help. Harry never did seem to think he needed to thank the man until after he was dead.
Silver Point Despair chapter 1 . 3/5/2013
I adore this story! You have it spot on - to others, Harry could have been a carbon copy of this father, attacking teachers, trying to kill a student, out roaming the corridors at night, sneaking off to Hogsmede.

Dumbledore could have minimized Snape's interactions with Harry, but he didn't. He also could have been more open with the horcrux situation, since he expected Snape to get the sword to the boy. But he wasn't.

I'm rather fond of the bit:
"Whilst your loyalty to your former student and refusal to see his bad points for what they were was understandable, I have the files of a number of candidates who would be interested in taking teaching positions on my desk right now, Minerva." Severus said softly. "Some of them can start at a couple of hours' notice, if necessary."

Because in canon, if Snape had really been working for Voldemort, he could have simply AK-ed McGonagall and dared anyone else to move.

Once again, love your story!
Rago Dragovian chapter 1 . 2/6/2013
Oh this is bullshit. Severus put up with Harry because it's his own fault that Harry hated him. Who pointedly insulted Harry at every turn? Who outright ignores the fact that Harry OBVIOUSLY grew up a miserable childhood considering how Petunia treated Harry? Severus knew his childhood was miserable from the Occulumency training in book 5. Harry broke rules, sure, but when the devil did he ever flaunt himself? He didn't pick on or bully anybody either.
elemout chapter 1 . 2/4/2013
I agree with how Severus takes far too much from Harry but the only thing I might change here is that Severus (who still cares for Lily) will avenge himself on the Dark Lord by destroying him on his own terms.
tricorvus chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
Good stuff. My better half thinks that the Potters, Pere et Fils, are Dumby's faves, because he's kin to them... Worth thinking about, anyhow.
Snuggalette chapter 1 . 5/14/2012
The story is great. However you fail to take into account that Severus antagonized Harry first.

To Lildreamer8 Quoting you

"Sometimes I too often wondered why Severus put up with as much as he did; and for all that I like the book series, I can't stand Harry Potter"

In case you havent figured it out the series is The HARRY POTTER series. I cant for the life of me figure out why someone would be idiotic enough to read it or fanfiction if they do not like Harry.
Fayari chapter 1 . 5/10/2012
At this point, I'm really just fave-bombing your fics. Just in case you pick a few up.
sevlily4ever chapter 1 . 3/25/2012
Wow! I never thought of it that way. You're right- Snape has every reason to hate Harry and in canon, the whole thing was terribly biased. Very interesting
TheUndefeatable chapter 1 . 3/22/2012
Oh! Well, I always wonder how Severus convince himself to stick in light side! It is pity you left this idea here, I like to read more about it!
