Fuck, the fact that it has been 6 years since this last updated is depressing, SUCH A FANTASTIC START. I really hope to see this continued some day. You've nailed Ezio's character on the head, and his interaction with the world is fantastic. I'm also really enjoying the subplot that you're working here, the kingdom was founded by a templar, and Fouquet's family was an assassin lineage even if she didn't know it herself. I also want to know what Agnes thought of Henriette's run in with Ezio when the little princess told her about it.

This story had so many up and downs and the fights are both exciting and speak of the characters in them. Louise is new to the scene and blood made her feel sick yet because of the school, she isn't throwing up. Ezio is an experienced hand so he simply took the fight in stride. Louise is also very human in this, her partner/familiar has secrets and she knows of them and recognizes that he didn't trust her with them yet. Unlike how other stories would try to ignore that entirely. That attention to detail is great. I would have loved to see if Ezio creates another brotherhood of the Assassins guild here in this world but either way, I enjoyed this story thoroughly. Even the training with Guiche. My favorite bits was how Louise isn't a damsel in distress the whole time. She actually has her parts in fights as a main combatant and not just a long range artillery.

Doesn’t a creature bound by magic in a familiars summoning have it’s life span extended to at least match its masters? I mean the headmaster summoned a mouse, and it doesn’t seem like he has summoned more than that familiar, so the would make the mouse like, over 50 or 60 years old. That’s a lot higher than the regular life expectancy of a mouse, so I would imagine the contract keeps the familiar from dying of old age till either being killed by other means or till the master has died.

It was a different aporoach to Familiar fanfics. Making it a crossover with AC guarantees that there will be killing. You already changed the canon by killing Fouqet - most authors are too afraid to write sth new, make some changes. Most of all, these two stories are strangely fitting together very well. Mission from Agnes would fit quite well in game, but simultaneusly doesn't feel forced in Familiar world.

I just wanted to say, I know this story and your account is on indeterminate hiatus, but I absolutely adore it. A fic that is well researched, unpredictable, and not afraid to change canon is a wonderful thing- and should it ever return I would read as many chapters as you have.

I have been very much enjoying this, as it's clear you've put a great deal of effort and care into crafting a well realized insertion. Verisimilitude is easy to speak of, but difficult to achieve.

Although, from the beginning, I had hoped Fouquet would be this world's La Volpe. Trope annihilated, it seems. Still Ezio now has an introduction to what used to be the Assassins in this world.
