Nice little piece of friendship, well-written and heart-warming.

I likes the bookends of the similarities between the beginning and ending paragraphs. Another "feel good", but well within character piece. I liked the hinting of Neal's injuries, and the justification of Peter's concern for his partner. I don't understand why the show's writers shy away from injuring Neal. It creates wonderful angst for Peter and the perfect opportunity for drama. I wish they would realize the opportunities they are missing! Until then, I shall depend on your writing to fill in the blanks of some much needed h/c.
