I could barely read this chapter through non-stop tears I was crying. After being brought to such emotional raw state by previous chapters I was fully bawling through all of this one. Everything hit me so hard: their friends fate, the most adorable Harry ever and him worshipping his dad and waving goodbye to him, James being James, Lily trying to stay strong, their immense love. I'm just grateful this stopped where it did and we didn't go through you-know-what, I wouldn't be able to handle that.

When I started reading this fic I expected it to be just another Jily fic, but with each chapter I was convinced that it was so much more than that and it instantly went to my faves where only a handful of Jily fics reside! Each chapter was so different in that it tackled a very different emotional place in their relationship and each of them did it on such a PERFECT masterful level! I have no words! At first I planned to write a single review in the end but every chapter deserved its separate attention so I went back and wrote reviews to each of them (I forgot I wasn't logged in so the others are as Guest OTL). I don't even know what to say. This story wrung me out emotionally in every possible way, left me raw and vulnerable and in the end left me crying my eyes out. And I'm so grateful to you for this rollercoaster of an experience!

What a bittersweet chapter. Poor kids are trying to keep their head up, keep their smile on and pluck moments of positivity and laughter, James even going to such length to procure the barest anniversary present for Lily while their lives are falling apart around them... You can sense the dread so thickly in the air. Very tragic-feeling chapter that already had me starting crying by the end of it :((

Aand he inevitable happened, the ugly war rears its head :/ And with it comes new tension and conflicts. But James and Lily still retain their explosive chemistry and attraction. If anything it adds another kind of sparks to them. Just wanted to add that the image of James on the sofa, with his head resting on its back and regarding Lily through half-closed eyes is too irresistible and no wonder Lily was straddling that in seconds.

Pheeeww It's gotten hot in here! Turns out you write excellent smut as well! It was so good to see them just be happy and fluffy for the whole chapter. And horny and thirsty as well, of course LOL. You can feel how crazy they are over each other.

This chapter covers the period that I love the most - it's the one with the pining, staring, chemistry, flirting and UST! Which is my favorite thing in Jily fics and if written well can be fantastic and you DO write it so well! Adding to this heady mix are the revelation of James' past fling caused by his anger and Lily's jealousy which only makes this more deliciously angsty and I live for it! The boys with their bet were a cute addition. And the ending where their passion finally exploded was simply perfect.

I love this project and the idea of following the development year after year! I also love how you portray the change in them and their attitude and relationship. Even the change in their physical appearance, their growth, how James now towers over her which only adds to the ever-growing sexual tension between them. The tension which became so unbearably palpable at the party until the boyfriend (I did not see that coming!) cut through it. Only for it to explode in a fight later. Yummy!

Went through all the emotions possible in the past hour while reading this and I can't help the tears from running down my eyes. They deserved more time with each other. Ive never felt so heart broken...

The end kills me. They deserved so much more.

great decision of words, I really liked it. that last sentence just as much destroyed me, their story is so bitterweet...
