randumgirl chapter 5 . 11/20/2018
Damn, its disgusting how people can copy other peoples stories like that. Its really really disgusting.
This story was so beautiful and your choice of words and writing style is soooo nice and calming somehow. I loved this. I had wished you would continue this, but after reading what happened, i respect your decision. I think i would feel the same pain and hurt as you did. All in all, regardless of the incomplete story, thank you for putting this out and not deleting it for all of us to read. It is beautiful!

setyourlazerstopew chapter 4 . 10/18/2018
I'm sorry that you had to go through all that shit with the reposter, what a dick.

~"Crocodile mean is delicious," Luffy said, already starting to drool.

"Not surprising," Nami said.

"Not at all," Usopp agreed.

"Not in the least," Chopper added.~

I can really see this happening in the Manga, like I can see it so clearly in my head lol

Hello! I'm a longtime reader and follower of yours and have now finally got the nerve to write you a comment. I apologize for not commenting before, on any of your stories, especially on this story, which is my favorite out of all your AceLu fics. I'm really shy about online social interaction, and it seems that I was finally able to muster up some courage only after you decided to discontinue this. I just wanted to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the efforts that you put into this story from the beginning till now. This story stuck in my heart because the premise of it - the Strawhats watching everything Luffy went through in his life through his memories - was something that I'd long daydreamed about several years ago, when the arc for Luffy and Ace's childhood was ongoing in the manga, and later in the anime. And then I found your story, which amazed me, because I couldn't believe that someone had actually written a story about one of my daydreams, as in: it was amazing that someone else out there was interested in the same thing and had actually created something out of it.

Blooming Memory was everything that I'd secretly wished for to read. I was nowhere near confident of writing anything of my own back then, and am still shy about writing anything now, so as a reader, it was extremely fortuitous and wonderful that I found your work. And what a writer you were (and are, still now)- I absolutely love your characterizations of the Strawhats, Ace, Sabo, and Luffy in this story. I think they're perfect and while reading, I could imagine the characters actually saying the lines you wrote for them and reacting to the situations you presented to them without any difficulty. Everything they said and did seemed quite appropriate to each one of them. You really have a gift of making these characters come to life through you words, and I could feel your passion, respect, and love for them. You had so many characters to juggle, but you made everything seem seamless. I love your attention to detail and I can tell that the world of One Piece and its characters are very dear to you, which I can very much appreciate :)

I am very sorry to hear that you will be discontinuing this story, but I understand and sympathize with your reasons. Plagiarism is not a pleasant thing to experience, to put it mildly, and I really am sorry that it happened to your work multiple times. They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, but to steal one's writing style, ideas, and content is just galling - I understand that writing is a very personal practice, and to know that someone or rather, some people, completely dismissed your efforts and took your personal creativity for granted by stripping your creation from you to then claim it as their own is just maddening, disgraceful, and cowardly, especially as you said that they continued to deny that they stole parts of your work. I'm so sorry that you had to be insulted that way, when you were the first (to my knowledge) to create a story like this. (Again, I cannot praise you and your work enough!)

I'd also like to say that you're not alone in being blatantly plagiarized. A few months back, one of my friends, who's a fanfic writer, got her story on AO3 plagiarized. The copy, which was first posted on AO3 then taken down and posted on , had a prologue just like hers, with a set-up and introductory cast of characters that were the same as hers - just with slightly different wording choices. The circumstances of the main character were almost exactly the same as hers. It was astonishing. Then the imitator put up the first chapter and then it was quite clear that my friend was being plagiarized, because the protagonist was put in the exact same place, with the same reactions and again, the exact same cast of characters, with mannerisms that were disturbingly similar to the ones depicted in my friend's work. I then confronted the imitator about it, because it was my friend she was doing it to, and the person denied it vehemently, though she (like the ones who copied from you) used some of the exact same words and expressions that my friend did. I insisted to her that she needed to mention my friend's work in hers if she was going to continue writing her story because the similarities were uncanny, and fortunately, she ended up listening to me, because she did mention my friend and her work the next time she updated. Although, I must add that she made a very obvious point of changing her story significantly, so as "not to be called a thief." (her words) Her story still holds some blatant similarities to my friend's, and some of her dialogue is a watered down version of my friend's, which is a shame, but my friend is okay with it, so the whole matter got resolved, though it could've been cleaner (from the imitator's side). The imitator continued denying that she plagiarized by saying that she didn't realize some elements of her story were the same as my friend's (when she was following my friend's work at the same time...), despite her decision to give credit to my friend in the end. Sorry for the rant - I think I still feel indignant about it, more so than my friend. I just wanted to express that I completely understand your decision to discontinue this story, especially when the plagiarizers remain unrepentant. I admire your tenacity to your work and I sincerely thank you for deciding to keep this story and the other ones also impacted by plagiarism on this site, though I would've understood if you had decided to take them all down. You are the writer and creator, in whom resides the final decision.

I remain and will continue to remain happy and grateful that you ever decided to share this story and your other AceLu stories with us readers. This story awed me and mesmerized me in so many ways, and I will always look upon it fondly. It continues to be one of my favorite fanfics ever. Thank you so much for posting the rest of what you had written for this story - it was as fantastic as ever. Thank you so much for deciding to share the last bit with us. And again, I'd like to apologize for never commenting before - my strongest excuse was that I was so terribly awkward back then and honestly didn't know how to put my feelings of admiration into words. I hope you are doing well in whatever you've got going in your life, and I wish you the best of luck and the most positive energy I can muster for your future writing projects! Though I'm sad that this story had to end, it was part of some of my best fanfic reading experiences, so really, I've nothing to complain about.

Thank you so much for all your hard work! You are an extremely talented writer and I look forward to reading your future works! :D

I really dislike you stopping writing because of someone copying the story when there are specific tools for getting rid of that so I can't respect that decision but good luck in the future.
Nanahou chapter 5 . 8/17/2018
I love your stories and your writing. They have something wonderful.
I'm not going to complain about your descision.
But as I was complaining to someone about plagiarism in general, someone told me of the TAPIR, the Anti-Plagiarism Investigation Reports. They take down stolen works and might be able to help nect time it happens. ( forum/The-Anti-Plagiarism-Investigation-Reports/124913/)
I really hope that you haven't stopped writing completly. I just started writing recently, and your works, especially your writing have been my ideal haha So I hope you haven't given writing itself up.

(the moment when you consider logging out and posting the review anonymously...)

Anyways, have a good day
