Reviews for Dear Self Who Will Not Remember
Helen8462 chapter 1 . 9/6/2017
This was fantastic! I was pointed to it by someone else who loved it and now I see why. So achingly poignant. Just this little hole of plot that I never knew I needed to be filled. Fantastic job!

Interesting tale. Well told.
Sareki02 chapter 1 . 7/23/2015
This piece was absolutely perfect. I found myself reading sections multiple times just to re-experience your beautiful writing and to feel the emotions all over again. This piece was heart wrenching in the perfect way. Well done.
Rowan Seven chapter 1 . 1/25/2015
"Love doesn't replace; it restores. It takes something broken and makes it whole again, whitening those wounds into beautiful scars."

This is an absolutely beautiful line in a beautifully written and poignant story. You employed the framing device to great effect, and the narrative is wonderfully written and does a compelling job portraying Kes's perspective and how her romance with Tom in the alternate timeline might have progressed. The themes of love and learning to love again work on a number of levels, and reading this short story was a pleasure for me. You have my sincere thanks for sharing it. Also, would you mind if I keep a copy of the above line? It's a moving piece of prose, and I like to hold onto great turns of phrase.

A wonderful story. I was so sorry when we lost Kes from the series. At least in fanfiction we can still enjoy her gentle presence. Thanks to the Krenim, she can live her entire span of 9 years in an alternate timeline. Thanks for writing this story to help me remember her.-jamelia

You know, I think she remembered everything from that alternate life.
American Fantasy chapter 1 . 1/11/2013
This was so sweet! It's so unique and well written. Lovely and sad in the end knowing that she will forget all her memories with the morilogium. Beautiful story.

This is an awesome work, thanks for creating it!
Mizvoy chapter 1 . 1/7/2013
This is a touching and poignant monologue, and one truly worthy of gentle Kes. Thanks for sharing.
CrlkSeasons chapter 1 . 1/7/2013
"It doesn't matter that his heart died five years ago' he's learned to love again..."
"The morilogium is irreversible; once I forget, I forget. But it can't take away the ability to learn... So learn ... most of all, Kes, learn love."

Your words are as wise and as beautiful as I've always imagined the essence of Kes to be.
PBIceCream chapter 1 . 1/7/2013
That was so incredibly beautiful, and very moving! 'Before And After' is one of my favorite episodes, and you did a fantastic job portraying how Tom and Kes' relationship may have happened, thank you.
Katthryn chapter 1 . 1/6/2013
I'd always wondered how Kes and Tom ended up together in that episode, and you wrote this in such a believeable way!
And what a beautiful story it was! :)
PinkAngel17 chapter 1 . 1/5/2013
Wow, that was beautiful. I always thought the Kes/Paris in 'Before and After' was random and just kinda out of place, but the way you wrote this it makes sense. I could actually see it going like that. It's quite the accomplishment! ;) Fantastic job on this!
M. D. Jensen chapter 1 . 1/5/2013
Fantastic! I find this 'verse so interesting, and you did a great job at depicting Kes and her relationships, and filling in what we didn't get to see much of on the show!
