What happened when Griphook and other ambitious Gringotts Goblins learned about the early emancipation of the enigmatic public figure THE BOY WHO LIVED, Harry James Potter, due to Goblin legal manipulations & political machinations? The poorly dressed young wizard who appeared obsequious and shy in public, turned out to be the heir to multiple lordships and now controlled vast economic assets. Surprisingly, this wizard’s first act was to select BY NAME a new goblin Account Manager to oversee all his wealth. Few English Magicals bothered to learn any Goblins’ names let alone remember individuals. Unwittingly, the new Lord Slytherin-Potter-Black had honored the entire Goblin Race with this act.
We cannot disregard complex social hierarchy and deadly competition between the rival Goblin Clans jockeying for power and prestige. Griphook had leap-frogged from a lowly vaultless Account Manager to being publicly recognized as “Trustworthy” and given ultimate managerial control over all the new Lord’s Wealth, Accounts and Assets. There had never been such an unprecedented social & economic coop at Gringotts. How does Griphook respond? How do the existing Account Managers react? He-he-he...

I’m surprised Molly Weasley didn’t immediately make a quick floo-call to Dumbledore (even if your AU version of Molly is not an extreme & blindly devoted Dumbledore loyalist.) She is still a responsible parent and wouldn’t want members of “The Order of the Phoenix” to worry over their missing Surrey protectee. Whether Molly chooses to share that Harry is now emancipated and a Lord several times over, or that he has 100% control of Voldemort, or that he was a Horcrux but is now cured, or that he has access to Potter Manor, or that he now insists that his Allies must be well-versed in proper pureblood Etiquette, or that he REALLY wasn’t interested at all in her daughter ... (who was acting in a questionable fashion while under the guardianship of McGonagall at school...?! Look out Minerva! Molly is going to question your HoH performance!)

Question about Magical Blood Feuds:

I know your lovely tale is AU, but consider the Issue of a Blood Feud carefully. I imagine this falls under Family Charters and ritual Blood Magic. I would postulate that if the Malfoys & Weasleys have been enemies for Generations due to a formal Blood Feud, their instant enmity couldn’t just ‘disappear’ without a Neutral Third Party to facilitate formal ‘negotiations’ & ‘reparations’ followed by some private family Blood rituals. Recall that even in JKR Canon, Draco and Ron instantly hated each other when they met on the Hogwarts Express at age 11. It appears that their hatred is in their blood. Molly and Narcissa married into the feud and are not instinctively antagonists. Their individual Family Charters may have behavioral rules.

Ginny publicly acting like a promiscuous Tart at age 15 while attending Hogwarts is problematic as it casts the whole Weasley family’s reputation even further into disgrace. Maybe having Bill or Gringotts officially examine Ginny for residual damage from being possessed by LV’s Diary horcrux at age 11...?

Let’s not forget that Lord Lucius Malfoy is guilty of harming a young pureblood witch. He callously used Ginny as a pawn in one of his complicated Political Games to get blackmail fodder in order to stop Arthur Weasley’s official DMLE-backed surprise Raids on the Manors of certain old pureblood families, ostensibly looking for Dark Objects. Furthermore, Arthur Weasley was one of the Light wizards championing some newly proposed Legislation “The Muggle Protection Act” which outraged many of the old conservative purebloods on the Wizengamot.

Lucius knew that the black leather diary which he surreptitiously slipped into innocent young Ginny Weasley’s cauldron the bookstore was a dark cursed item. If Lycius could embarrass Arthur by having the youngest Weasley child found with a dark artifact, he could use this ‘shocking fact’ as political ammunition (blackmail) to curtail Arthur Weasley’s annoying ‘light-side’political efforts. Furthermore, he needed to clean Malfoy Manor of its Dark Magical objects in case the DMLE ever raided him!

I doubt that Lucius consciously knew that the cursed Diary, entrusted to the Malfoys by LV, was in fact one of LV’s Horcruxes that would not only possess the young Witch and drain her ‘life force’ to the point of death, but it would also force her to unleash a thousand-year-old Basilisk within Hogwarts endangering all the children — including his precious son and heir. I doubt the Malfoy Family Charter would forgive such heinous acts by its sitting Lord! Moreover, his wife Narcissa (born and raised in the powerful Black family) would have strung him up by his ‘bollocks’ if he dared endanger either Draco and any other magical child. Magical children are considered precious as they are rare and integral to the continuation of their society.

Why can't readers accept that you're writing a slash tale? If they object, hit the exit button. Getting Malfoy & friends to accept Hermione & the Weasleys will be a major accomplishment. That Dumbledore hasn't raised his hairy head is a surprise. Haven't the watchers from the order notified him Harry left the Dursleys? Great story.

After reading your note in chapter 14, I have to say it's regrettable that this story is abandoned. It's utterly charming. It's understandable with your current family situation and I wish you all the best.

Personally what I think Harry should do to really piss Draco off is buy all the other house quidditch teams brings with a note signed by Lord Slytherin-Black-Potter.

I am so sorry that life has been cruel to you and your family. I am sad that you are not going to this wonderful story or A Hyuuga, a Nara and a Haruno go to Hogwarts. But you must do what feels right to you. I hope that you'll leave these stories up so that I (we) can still read them even when they don't continue. Glad you updated. It might have been a while, but this story always stuck with me for some reason. (It says a lot about the story if I still remember a lot of what happened over all these years).

I did like this chapter though. Only Harry could actually convince Ron to study things. And it would be cool if he somehow got Molly into cooking. Now that all her kids are at Hogwarts, she'd definitely have time to do it. And I'm sure he'd find a way to do it that doesn't look like charity.

On a more personal note though, I'm glad your lifes in a better place now. And good luck finding that job.

I love the pairings of Theo/Harry and Bill/OFC. What is Theo’s sister's name anyway I didn’t think I caught it.

I know it’s been a while but if you ever have the chance or drive to continue this story I hope you do. I’m really enjoying it. I just wanted to point out a continuity error you had though in the last chapter. You said that Bill was in Egypt because of the process of moving back home. But in a previous it was said that he would be in China that week. And I’m pretty sure canonically Bill transferred back to the London branch of Gringotts in early to mid 1995 so towards the end of 4th year- summer before 5th. But hey it’s your story, I just hope you continue it someday.
