Loved this and will look for more of your writing! One of your reviewers incorrectly said we only exhale carbon dioxide but actually we exhale about 4-6% CO2 compared to 16-18% oxygen, and the rest is mostly nitrogen. The air we breathe in has only about 0.03% carbon dioxide but we exhale a higher percentage as a waste product of cellular respiration. You accurately described what would happen to Peter after hyperventilating in his efforts to save Neal because as we blow off more CO2, we lower our blood level which actually reduces the stimulus to our brain to breathe.

I really liked this! There's only one small piece of constructive criticism that I have. When we exhale, it's carbon dioxide, not oxygen. We can't breathe the carbon dioxide like we do oxygen. Otherwise it was really great! Do you take fic requests? It's Neal!Whump.

This was wonderful! I so love stories where one of them saves the other one. Your descriptions are so vivid. I could feel Neal's panic. Imperfect Atom is a perfect name for the statue. :) And it would be a work of art that almost kills Neal. Loved the mutual concern too and the ending. Hit my h/c buttons just right.

This is great hurt/comfort - one of my favorite things. Very vividly told from Neal's pov; I could certainly feel his terror at being trapped. Peter naturally, will not give up on him, even to the point of his own collapse. (Scaring Neal even more!)
