Hopelessly, Helplessly
"Sammy!" called Gabriel as he bounded down the stairs. The tall hunter chuckled as his golden-eyed archangel appeared behind him, beaming.
"Yes, Gabe?
"Whatcha doing?"
"Making fried bread. You want some?" Sam laughed as Gabriel stood on his tiptoes to kiss the other's neck.
"Please, Sam?" Placing down the frying pan, the younger Winchester turned around and kissed his lover's nose.
"Of course." The archangel grinned as Sam turned back to the toast.
"Dean and Cas will be round in a few hours Gabe, so you should put some clothes on." The Trickster was dressed merely in his jogging bottoms. He mock-pouted.
"What are they coming round for?" Sam poked him in the belly.
"To say hi. It's nearly Christmas." Turning a fond eye on their lopsided, mismatched Christmas tree, the hunter smiled. First Christmas with Gabriel. First Christmas as a family. Slipping the fried bread on to two plates, Sam handed one to his archangel; who tucked in happily. God, he loved him. He loved his golden eyes and his flirtatious manner, his fickleness and yet, his solidarity when it came to things that mattered. The young Winchester was hopelessly, helplessly in love with Gabriel and luckily for him, even though he would never admit it, the Trickster felt exactly the same way about him
