"Uchiha-sama"
The soft spoken voice didn't even make the male turn. He knew who it was very well and didn't bother showing her that he cared, even if he longed to push her up against the wall and have his way with her. His eyes shut for a second to get rid of these thoughts before he finally poured the soup in bowls and set them on the table.
He finally made eye contact with her and when he did, it was enough for all his thoughts to come back like an avalanche. "Eat…you're hungry" he commented, taking his eyes off of her and the dirty dress she had on.
"Uchiha-sama…you didn't have to-" "And get this dirty thing off of you…I'll give you a shirt" he added, interrupting her. She obediently sat down and bowed her head, her eyes roaming towards the udon soup. It looked amazing actually, did he know how to cook? Curiously and under his constant gaze, she took a bite from the noodles along with some of the soup around them. Her eyes widened, not expecting it to taste so good. It was actually better than hers.
"Uchiha-sama…this is really good" she complimented with a wide smile that made his heart leap again in his chest. Before he would do something, Sasuke turned and went in his bedroom, searching for a shirt for her. He came upon his old attire, when he was 13 and it seemed to fit her since she had a small body. He took those out and placed them on the bed for her to change after she would finish eating.
When he returned to the kitchen, she had already eaten her bowl and was now washing the dishes, while his bowl was still on the table, waiting for him. "I picked some clothes for you in my bedroom…take a shower and change" he dully spoke as he sat down and ate in silence.
The girl thanked him and after she was done with the dishes, she was gone.
A knock on the door interrupted him from eating and with an irritated sigh, he went to answer just to find some old friends at the door, some of which were Kiba, Ino, Nara, Choji, Ten Ten and Rock Lee, all with smiling faces.
"Sasuke-kun, today we're going to the Ichiraku bar for some ramen and sake, you're joining no? For old time's sake~" started Ino with a grin, followed by Rock Lee and Kiba. Shikamaru only sighed as if he was dragged here by force.
"Indeed you should join, Sasuke" Choji nodded as he patted his stomach with the same grin as everyone else. As the chatter continued and everyone laughed and brought up memories, while Sasuke only stood in the doorway with a blank expression, the small blonde in his house decided to make an appearance in his attire from when he was younger.
Suddenly everyone fell silent as the girl walked by, her hair wet and with Sasuke's shirt that reached over her thighs and also having the pants in her hands. "Uchiha-sama" she called out, not having seen the scene at the door.
Sasuke only turned and when he saw what they saw, his eyes widened comically and he paled. Finally, Nanami found him along with everyone else. "Ah…Uchiha-sama…these pants, the left side is ripped…open…"she trailed off, now noticing the others that kept staring at her and then at Sasuke.
With a soft squeal, she ran off to his bedroom from where she came, closing the door and hiding her red cheeks in her palms. She never felt so ashamed in her life, being seen by so many people like that. What were they going to think of her?
"Sasuke…what was that…" Choji tried to ease the atmosphere. Ino was still staring with her mouth open, Rock Lee was blushing furiously at the sight, still staring as well, Ten Ten was slightly curious and Shikamaru had a knowledgeable smile on his face. Kiba was blankly staring as well, but then he frowned at the raven haired male "That was my future wife! I knew you spent some time with her but I didn't know you two actually did the deed and were so close too!" he accused, crossing his arms over his chest.
"You just had to take her from me didn't ya?" the wolf boy tried again as Sasuke did his best to keep his calm demeanor. "I will go with you to the bar…just shut up…you're annoying" he muttered, glancing back and then simply stepping out of the house, sliding the door shut after him.
After all, Nanami was stuck in his house, waiting for her clothes to dry as she busied herself with chores around the place. She also took the liberty to eat his udon soup since he didn't finish it and it was such a waste. When she ran out of chores, she laid down on his bed with her ceruleans on the clock. It was already so late and he didn't even return yet.
A worried expression passed on her face as she turned to her side and closed her eyes. Sleep was so sweet and she couldn't help but fall into a deep slumber.
Sasuke didn't come home until very late in the middle of the night. He reeked of alcohol and as he held himself up with the best he could, his walk was still a bit clumsy. When he reached his room, he saw the girl sleeping in his bed and a frown rolled on his lips as he crawled in the bed with her. He yanked her on her back and hovered over her petite figure, also waking her up in the process. His breathing was hitched as if he was catching his breath and he reeked of alcohol. Not only that, but he seemed angry and confused.
"Uchiha-sama?" she softly asked, feeling the smell of sake on his breath.
"What makes you better than me?" he asked suddenly, his eyes peering darkly in her own. "You think you're better just because you never killed anyone? Just because you're so nice…doesn't mean you're better than me" he added, making her squirm uncomfortably as his knees straddled her hips.
"Just seeing your face…makes me feel disgusted with myself" he snarled, his hands violently pushing on her shoulders and startling the blonde "Do you know how cruel you are?" his voice softened suddenly and he leaned his head on the crook of her neck, taking a deep breath of her intoxicating scent.
"Uchiha-sama…you're drunk…please go to sleep" she whispered wearily, her warm palms pushing on his chest "Are you fucking with me?" he snickered maniacally as he pulled himself up before he roughly grabbed her chin and brought his lips on hers in a fiery kiss. The girl's eyes widened and she tried to squirm and push on his chest, but his arms circled her waist and pulled her tight to his chest, deepening the clash. She felt so powerless and she submissively gave in, responding timidly as he bit her lower lip and trailed his tongue down her neck, stopping down to her collar bone and sucking on the soft skin, leaving a hickey behind.
She was in a daze for a bit and when she felt his rough hands grasping her sensitive chest, she violently pushed him away "No…Stop!" her small body cowered in the corner of the bed, curled and her eyes looking at him with slight pity. Seeing this, he crawled towards her again to push her back down, a deadly glare in his eyes, but she slipped away easily and quickly ran out of his bedroom, holding back the bitter tears.
He didn't know what happened after that because he was too dizzy to follow her, but he laid on the bed and fell asleep immediately.
The next morning, the raven haired male woke up with a painful headache. Groaning to himself, he slowly stood up from the bed and inspected himself, seeing as he was still dressed in yesterday's clothes that also reeked of alcohol. Wrinkling his nose at this in disgust, he quickly walked towards the bathroom, deciding on a quick shower. By now Nanami would have the breakfast ready along with a pill for his headache. Surely.
Only that when he came down the stairs and to the kitchen, there was no Nanami. The house was quiet and there was no breakfast, no pill, no blonde to greet him. The male raised an eyebrow as he ruffled his black mane with the towel around his neck, wondering what happened that she didn't show up yet. Shaking his head, he went around the house. She was going to come here sooner or later so he was going to wait for her.
He busied himself with a bit of training and warm up in the courtyard of the compound, but after what seemed like hours, he settled himself on the wooden floors that cornered the house. He laid there on his side, closing his eyes slowly, a light voice in the back of his head.
"No…Stop!"
He remembered. His eyes snapped open as the events from last night played in his mind. She left, but he didn't follow to see where, so where was she? Did she leave for good? A loud grunt left his throat as his palms covered his face in exasperation. What did he do? He just made her run away from him.
After a while he decided to go into the village and eat there then go for training. He did need to cool down and get his mind busy with other things.
It has been a month now and Sasuke was finally forced into a relationship with Sakura after everyone kept bothering him about it. He hasn't seen Nanami at all and with every day that passed, he longed to go to the restaurant and see her, to know if she was ok or not, but he couldn't, he was avoiding the moment when her disappointed ceruleans would meet his guilty and needy onyx ones. Sakura was very happy with the situation and if a suffocating girlfriend didn't define her well enough, he didn't know what did.
He did sleep with her on a few occasions, mainly because he was drunk or wanting to let out his anger in some way, not to add that her displaying herself naked in his room every day wasn't helping either. A man was still a man, especially when he knew the girl he longed for wasn't going to be underneath him.
Today was the festival and as he loosely tied his yukata on, also having pants underneath because it was just awkward for him not to, Sakura was pacing around his bedroom with a glamorous looking kimono that combined red, pink, black, gold, purple, white, butterflies, flowers and dragons. He couldn't help but stare helplessly at the chosen outfit before shaking his head in defeat, choosing not to say anything. If she was happy with it then it was fine.
"Sasuke, should I tie my hair up like this?"
"You have short hair…how can you even tie it?" he asked, a bit irritated as he waited, leaned on the doorframe and looking blankly away.
"You're so rude…but I love you anyway" she grinned as she tied the little specks of hair she had and turning to him, after also adding her hair accessories to match the ridiculous clutter of the kimono imprint.
They were finally walking through the nicely decorated village and Sakura just had to stop at every stand to look at bracelets, rings or games.
"Sasuke! I want onigiri~ I'm hungry and then you can get me some cotton candy" she cooed, latching herself on his arm and making the male sigh and then look for a food stand. He found one surely and he didn't read the name before he walked over there with Sakura.
"What can I get you?" asked the woman with a smile. Sakura smiled back and her grip tightened on his arm "I want two onigiri! For me and my boyfriend here~" the woman nodded and turned her head "Nana-chan! Two onigiri!" and when the name slipped her mouth, Sasuke's eyes widened slightly.
"Coming right up~" came the cheerful voice of Nanami as she appeared at the counter with two onigiri wrapped in napkins. She stopped abruptly when she saw Sasuke and then Sakura, her whole expression changing as Sakura also noticed her and yanked Sasuke closer to her like a possessive animal.
Nanami noticed that and looked sideways, avoiding Sasuke's eyes completely as she gave the food to the woman at the counter. "Here you go" she smiled as she offered them the rice balls. Sakura scoffed and yanked him away "I don't want it from here" and it earned a sad gaze from Nanami and it only killed him more on the inside. With a light frown, he pulled his hand away from her grasp and took the rice balls, also paying for them and stealing a glance from Nanami.
"I need to talk to you" he muttered loud enough for the blonde to hear and nod lightly. The woman at the counter looked between the two "Nana-chan, you know this man?" she asked with raised eyebrows as the girl bit her lower lip, fidgeting on the apron around her middle.
"I will wait where we first met, at fireworks…" he added, letting her know the location and then he walked away, being dragged away by a very angry and yelling Sakura.
This whole month, Nanami felt alone, she didn't have anywhere to go and she somehow missed her little moments with Sasuke, and it made her heart tremble in a very odd way. She thought she was ill for some time before she realized that she had this need to go see him, only to see his face for a few moments. She found herself yearning for his presence, and when she saw him with Sakura, her stomach flipped and she felt sick. Maybe that's what he wanted to tell her…or maybe he just wanted to apologize and be done with, she didn't know herself.
"Yes, I know him…he is only a friend" the girl mumbled before going back to cooking for future customers.
It was almost time for fireworks, but something tugged on her heart to not go there, but with baby steps, she finally got there as the first firework exploded over the dark sky. He was there, watching intently as the sky exploded with colors, not hearing her shy steps that stopped not far from him. In front of the restaurant, where they first met; the colors lit up both of their faces and when he turned, her heart raced through her chest and her mind blocked.
"You came" he stated in a rigid tone. His gaze, his intense gaze made her look elsewhere and her cheeks caught on the shade of red.
"What did you want to tell me?" she quietly asked, not daring to come any closer to him. His steps though, his steps were daring and they stopped just in front of her, his hands grasping her shoulders, making her look up at him with wide eyes.
"Uchiha-sama?"
"I apologize…for that night" he murmured, his onyx eyes avoiding her curious blues. The blonde smiled weakly "It's ok Uchiha-sama, I know the girl you like is Haruno-sama, you don't need to explain yourself to me…I'm only glad that you are ok…I was surprised then so I left and I didn't have the courage to come see you and say something…I'm sorry, Uchiha-sama" she spoke, biting back tears that slowly but surely glazed her eyes. She ended her speech with a polite bow and she took a few steps back, slipping from his grip and turning to leave.
How was she doing this to him? She ended up apologizing for not facing him, he couldn't even blame her for not doing that. She was so naïve ! she let herself be fooled by the earlier scene. She was also going to slip from him again and for once in a few years, he felt scared.
His hand reached and grabbed her wrist tight and in one swift move, he had her pressed on his chest and holding her there, afraid that she would just disappear at any moment. She tried to squirm and look up at him, but he only buried his face in her soft blonde locks, refusing to let her see him this way.
"Don't" and she stopped moving, she only stood there as he embraced her, giving in after a few minutes and also letting her slender arms embrace him back but not with as much force as him.
Seeing that she responded, the male only nuzzled his nose deeper into her locks, taking in her scent eagerly. Who knew such a powerful man like him could be subdued by such a simple girl, a female that was nowhere near a ninja, but had enough power to have him kneel to her in such a way. Now he knew what they meant by love is weakness and it was a weakness, yet, without her, he would feel empty, worthless. It gave him strength, knowing that he had to protect her from anything and anyone. Such a feat wasn't hard for the Uchiha, given his title already and many having heard of his deeds, even so, he was afraid that she may slip from his embrace at any moment.
