A/N: Sorry about no updates in forever, this isn't exactly the story I'm primarily focusing on. Plus, I've got a few things happening in real life I need to worry about. I did say sporadic updates in the first chappie though.

Well, enjoy. Hopefully I can make a few more chapters sooner. This isn't supposed to be a long story after all.

Chapter 4: Growing Up Addams

At four years of age, Naruto still only toddled around as if he was two again. His family didn't think anything was weird with it. He obviously enjoyed it! He could speak fine, but he preferred to babble incoherently. It really threw people off. Currently, he was sitting with his sister, playing with the plastic flails that their parents bought them. They weren't quite ready for the real ones yet. Maybe next year, as Uncle Fester says.

"Naruto!" An angry shout made him blink and turn around. Sasuke, red-faced in anger, came stomping up to them, a box held in his arms. "What did you do to my snake!" Naruto frowned. He hadn't even known Sasuke had a snake.

"Snake? Where'd ya' get one of those?" Sasuke shoved the box at Naruto, prompting the younger boy to open it. Inside sat a small garter snake, only instead of green and black scales, this one was painted bright orange. It also seemed ridiculously pissed off. "Aw cool! Where'd ya' get an orange snake?"

"It wasn't orange before! It was green! And black!" Naruto frowned down at the snake. Then, an idea popped into his head. He stuck a finger in his mouth, wet it, and then ran his now wet finger down the snake's scales. The orange melted away easily enough.

"See, it's just some water-paint!" Naruto grinned up at Sasuke, who blushed in embarrassment at the easy solution.

"Just give me my snake back!" The dark-haired boy yanked the box back to his chest. "I gotta give him a bath!" Sasuke stalked off towards the bathroom. Naruto waved after him with a happy call of,

"Buh-bye Sasuke!"

Naruto Uzumaki-Addams was, by far, the most normal and adored Addams in town, despite only being there for four years so far. The six-year-old could often be seen helping old ladies cross the street and rescuing kittens from trees. Everyone did try to forget that Naruto was not always in a helpful mood, and, when he was extremely angry at something or another, if his eyes were starting to turn red, you got the hell away as quick as possible. The young blond had already levelled a good portion of the forest surrounding the city in his anger.

That day, Naruto could be seen walking down the road, Sasuke at his side. Naruto was licking an ice-cream cone while Sasuke constantly popped open an empty cigarette case.

"Sasuke, ya' know Mum and Dad will get ya' some more later. Stop opening that damn thing!" Sasuke grumbled something and shoved the case into his pocket. Naruto grinned and finished his ice-cream. "'sides, you know that Ita doesn't like when ya' smoke."

"He's right Otouto." Sasuke jumped at his brother's sudden voice. He turned, an expression of horror on his face, to see his brother walking from the optometrist office behind them, a shiny black case in his hands.

"N-Nii-san! I wasn't, I swear!" Itachi raised an eyebrow, and gave the empty cigarette case, that was peeking out of the younger Uchiha's pocket, a pointed look.

"I bought you those yesterday. You do remember that Morticia-sama put a limit to one case a week until your ten." Sasuke pouted.

"Yeah, I remember." Itachi let a smile grace his face.

"Good. For now, I guess I can get you another case." Sasuke started to grin. "If you promise me to only have one smoke a day." And like that, Sasuke's grin turned to a pout.

"But Nii-san!"

"Don't 'but Nii-san' me. Those things are bad for you!" Sasuke scowled. Before the siblings could get into an argument, Naruto piped in,

"What's that in ya' hands Ita?" Itachi popped open his black case, and took out a pair of round-lens glasses.

"My new glasses. You know Morticia-sama and Gomez-sama wanted me to have a pair, ever since that report from the school nurse about my bad eye-sight came in." He placed them on his nose, and gave a slight grimace at the headache he got as everything came into focus. "I can see much better with them at least." Sasuke gave a horrified squeak, making his brother and Naruto turn to him. "Sasuke?"

"NII-SAN!" Sasuke shouted, raising a hand to point at him. "You look like a NERD!" Itachi reeled back, a slight scowl forming on his face from the insult. "Why didn't you get cooler looking ones!"

"These were the only ones they had Sasuke!"

"But they're so NERDY!"

"Weeeeeeeednesdaaaay!" Eight-year-old Sasuke screamed angrily, stalking towards the smirking girl sitting next to a laughing Naruto and Pugsley. In his hands was his homework that was due the next day- work he had finished hours before. But now it was scribbled on with crayon and cut up in multiple places. Ever since he started outperforming the younger girl in classes, Wednesday had been gunning for a fight with him, or he thought so, at least. He slowed to a stop in front of her and seethed.

"Can I help you Sasuke?" She asked, the smirk never leaving her lips.

"What..." He growled, before taking a deep breath to calm himself. "...what did you do to my homework?" His hands clenched tightly around the work. Wednesday looked at it and her smirk widened slightly.

"Nothing. Marie-Antoinette did it." Sasuke felt his eye twitch.

"Your stupid doll couldn't have done it!" He shouted. Wednesday stood quickly, her smirk replaced by an angry scowl and glare.

"What did you call Marie-Antoinette!" Sasuke glared right back.

"You heard me! I called your stupid doll stupid!" To emphasize his point, he gave her a shove. Which she returned with a fist to the gut, thus starting their brawl. Sasuke returned her fist with a kick to the shins, and she tackled him to the floor. Vaguely, they both heard Naruto sigh and walk off and Pugsley start laughing even harder. Wednesday smacked his head into the ground and Sasuke retaliated with a knee to her stomach, pushing her off of him. He rammed his shoulder into her gut, and she tugged harshly on his hair, pulling his head down, before jabbing her elbow into his face. Before either could continue, a pair of hands had them by their shirt/dress collars, and was separating them.

"CHILDREN!" They froze at Morticia's scolding tone. Sasuke looked up, right into Gomez's, who had separated them, disappointed face. "What have I said about fighting?" Morticia continued, drawing their attention. Wednesday scuffed the ground and huffed.

"Not in the front room. If we're gonna fight, go to the dungeons or outside." She grumbled. Sasuke shot her a glare.

"And bring a weapon!" He growled, fingers itching to continue their brawl. Morticia smiled, and Gomez released them.

"Good. Now, dinner is ready. Go get washed up!"

Gomez held his fencing sword in front of him passively. It gleamed in the thin light of the room, catching the eye of a certain whiskered nine-year old. Naruto stared at the sword in awe, absently walking towards his father. Gomez shifted his sword to is other hand, hefting it up and down in wide arcs, before spotting the blond.

"Naruto my boy! What can I do for you?" Naruto blinked.

"Grandmama wanted to see you 'bout something. Is that a sword?" He gestured the sword that Gomez was sheathing. Gomez grinned wide, and held the sheathed weapon out for his son.

"Of course! I was planning on giving you, Sasuke, and Wednesday some lessons next year, but if you wish I can start anytime!" Naruto grinned up at him.

"Awesome!" Then he thought a bit. "What about Pugs' and Ita?" Gomez laughed heartily.

"Pugsley had declined the lessons, for his love of explosions is more than his love for bloodshed by blades. Itachi has received lessons for years now, and is almost able to beat me!" Gomez continued to laugh as he left the room. Naruto stared down at the sword in his hands. While it was cool, Wednesday's guillotine was always cooler. He frowned down at the weapon. Maybe he should ask Mother if she could give him a few of those lessons she was giving Wednesday. After all, learning how to hide weapons in the folds of your clothes was much cooler than just hacking and slashing with an, admittedly, awesome looking sword. 'Besides,' Naruto thought, wincing slightly. 'last time I held a sword,' He placed the sword on the table by the wall, and brought a hand to a scar on his left arm. 'it didn't go as planned.' He had gotten the small wound when Sasuke and Wednesday had convinced him that it was a good idea to sneak into Gomez's office and play-fight with his fencing swords. Sasuke and Wednesday had gotten too into the fight, and were starting to channel old feelings into each of their strikes. Wednesday had tripped on the loose carpet in the room, just as Sasuke brought his sword down in a vicious arc. Naruto moved before he could think, and blocked the sword with his arm. The bloody thing cut straight down to the bone! Sasuke immediately dropped his grip, as Wednesday ran off to find their mother. They all spent the night apologizing to each other, and watching in fascination as his should-cause-extreme-blood-loss wound healed within the hour.

Itachi stared at the three nine-almost-ten year olds before him. Naruto's grin was nearly wide enough to split his face in half, and Sasuke and Wednesday were subtlety glaring at each other over the short blond's head. Itachi shook his head. He had called the three out to the back garden to test for their chakra capacity, and help them access it, even if they were a few years late compared to Academy standards. He had already tested Pugsley and the rest of the Addams, and while they each had an impressively large supply, they had simply been too old to teach them how to properly unlock their chakra- not that it stopped them, but they will have immense difficulties with chakra control. Well, aside from Grandmama. Grandmama had always been unconsciously using chakra when ever she could. It definitely explained how the elder woman was able to take down last weeks dinner with only a single scratch to her arm. Itachi shook his head, and returned his attention to the three in front of him. He cleared his throat, making them snap to attention.

"Today I am going to show you how to access your chakra, so you can learn jutsu." The effect of his words hit almost immediately. Naruto started jumping up and down in excitement, Sasuke smirked smugly, and Wednesday had a satisfied semi-smirk on her face. "First," Itachi started, sitting on the ground. "you'll need to meditate to try to find the energy within." The three sat down, and began the exercise. Itachi was honestly not that surprised that Wednesday happened upon her chakra first, Sasuke following a close second, and that Naruto unleashed enough chakra to fill a small pond shortly after. Itachi rubbed his temples, however, when he realized that they each had far too much chakra for children their ages. It was going to be difficult to teach them the basics. "Alright, good. Next, form this sign with your hands..."

Twelve-year-old Naruto sat off to the side of the room with Wednesday and Morticia, completely that week's homework. Wednesday was fixing Marie-Antoinette's dress, as it was in tatters, with the help of Morticia. Sasuke was in the middle of the room, receiving fencing lessons from Gomez. Itachi was with Pugsley and Uncle Fester, showing them how to make a proper Exploding Tag like the ones he'd ordered from the Elemental Nations. Gomez and Morticia, along with Grandmama, had told him, Sasuke, and Wednesday all about the Elemental Nations, since they had been too young to remember much of Konoha. They told Naruto and Sasuke about their original parents. They had even offered Sasuke the chance to have his surname altered, which he agreed to. Sasuke became Sasuke Uchiha-Addams. Itachi politely denied the offer, deciding to remain with just the Uchiha name.

"Alright Sasuke! I think that's well enough for now!" Gomez said with a grin. Sasuke huffed and sheathed his sword, and made to leave. "Ah, before you go, Sasuke, Naruto, Wednesday!" Naruto perked up at his name, along with Wednesday, and Sasuke turned to look at the exuberant man. "Tomorrow, at noon, we'll be leaving for the Elemental Nations." Gomez grinned at the look of shock that claimed each child's face. Morticia smiled at her husband.

"Gomez, mon cher," She ignored his usual exclamation about the French words, and continued, "perhaps you should have brought this up in a better circumstance."
