So this is just a quick one-shot on what was in maria's letter and how she left
i've really tried to watch my spelling and my grammar which i kinda failed at in my last story which i am still continuing though but is put on a hold for a little bit due to a writers block so idea's for that story are very welcome :D
i hope you like this one ;D
Maria sat at her little desk, stumbling upon the words. She tried to hold back the tears from spilling on the paper. She tried to write a goodbye letter to the captain.
The baroness' words kept going through her mind
"There is nothing more irresistible to a man than a women who's in love with him"
Was she really in love with him? And how could the baroness see that? There were so many questions going through her mind. She threw her pen on the table and put her head in her hands and started sobbing softly.
'Why did god had to make things so difficult' she thought to herself
'no, no I must do this' she said sitting up drying her tears
she got a new piece of paper and started to write
Dear Captain von Trapp ,
This letter is to inform you that I have left.
I missed my life at the abbey dreadfully and I simply had to return.
But that will not say that I won't miss your family. I had a wonderful time, and your children are very special.
I hope you will find a suitable replacement who will treat the children nice and kind. But i am sure the baroness will make a fine mother once your going to be married. She is a really lovely lady and i do wish you all the luck and happiness.
My apologies for leaving so abruptly but it is really for the best. Please send the children my love and tell them that i am very sorry.
I really wish i could have stayed but my life is at the abby, where i will soon take my vows.
I wish you all the luck and happiness too captain. God will have a plan for you too, and i will pray for your families health and safety.
Kind regards,
Maria Rainer
when she was finished she put the letter in an envelope and packed the rest of her things not that she had so many things to take with her, she didn't need to take that many things with her because soon she would only be wearing her nuns habit. when her clothes were safely packed she straightened her hat one more time. this was probably the last time she would ever see a mirror again. she packed her guitar and her carpet bag and walked down the stairs. she could still hear the music echoing through the big hall.
she placed the letter onto the table next to the captain's study. she quietly walked over to the front door. she turned around one more time before she left to never return.
so i know this is really short and sad...
but i just got this idea and wrote it down i hope you liked it :D
and reviews are always welcome ofcourse!
