Acrostic-y Challenge of Chapter Titles (The Boy Who Lived, "D")

Dear Colin,

They say that this is supposed to help with grief. I don't know why. The only thing that would make me feel better is for you to be here. But that's not going to happen, right? You're not just going to come back from the dead. Magic can only do so much.

Love,

Dennis

Dear Colin,

Dad isn't holding up too well. He holes himself up in your room every morning when he thinks I'm still asleep. He doesn't think I know, but I can hear him.

He just lays on your bed and cries.

I haven't brought it up with him. It's too personal, isn't it? He needs to grieve in his own way.

I wish I knew what my way was.

Love,

Dennis

Dear Colin,

We're rebuilding Hogwarts. I wish you could see it.

Oliver showed me the spot where he found your body. I asked him if he knew you. He said not really, but that you died like a hero.

Love,

Dennis

Dear Colin,

I dreamt about you last night. We were walking through the Forbidden Forest, and you took a picture of me when I wasn't ready.

"I'm okay, Dennis," you said.

I didn't pay much attention to dream interpretation during Divination, but I have to believe this means something.

Love,

Dennis

Dear Colin,

Gabrielle was helping restore Hogwarts today. Did you ever notice her the Tri-Wizard Tournament? She's very pretty.

Love,

Dennis

Dear Colin,

It's been a year. Dad still sits in your room in the mornings. I still write you letters. I guess we're still coping.

Love,

Dennis

Dear Colin,

I wish you were here.

Love,

Dennis

Dear Colin,

I have a job interview at the Daily Prophet. They want me to be a photographer. It should be you. I just hope I can make you proud.

Love,

Dennis

Dear Colin,

Gabi and I are getting married today. Can you believe it?

I won't have a best man at my wedding. That was supposed to be you. No one can take your place.

Love,

Dennis

Dear Colin,

Gabi is pregnant. I'm scared. You'd know what to do.

Love,

Dennis

Dear Colin,

It's a boy. There is a Colin Creevey in the world again.

Love,

Dennis
