Surrounded by Warmth

Silver breathed out a bored sigh, typing away at his laptop in a very uninterested manner. He was just browsing the web, having nothing better to do. It was raining outside and it looked as if a hurricane was going to occur, which he hoped with all his heart was not going to actually happen. There was absolutely nothing to do this evening.

The silver hedgehog turned his head a little, staring out of the only window in his room. He could see a tree in his view, blowing wildly in the wind and getting drenched with rainwater. The male hedgehog still thought that there might be a hurricane soon, but still hoped it to not be true.

"Silver?"

Silver jumped and swiveled around in his chair, turning away from the monitor completely. In the doorway of his room, he spotted Blaze the Cat there. She was just standing there with her arms folded across her chest and appearing curious. Her face didn't portray this, but her eyes did.

"B-Blaze…!" Silver exclaimed, eyes getting wide. "What are you doing in here? When did you get here? I don't understand…" He muttered that last part.

"I was always here." Blaze shrugged in a nonchalant manner, smiling a little.

Silver was skeptical, but he shrugged it off and sighed heavily. "There's nothing to do here, Blaze! It's all gloomy and whatnot outside. There might be some kind of hurricane or something!" He said.

"Don't think negatively like that," The purple feline informed him, plopping down onto Silver's bed. She seemed bored as well as she gazed at the silver hedgehog in front of her. "There has to be something to do here."

"Let's find something to do, shall we…?" Silver suggested, contemplating to himself. He searched the room with his eyes and then snapped his fingers. "Oh! Would you like to watch YouTube videos or something? We can watch some funny ones!"

Blaze looked uninterested. "No…"

"Darn, uh…" Silver really wanted Blaze to be enjoying herself while she stayed at his place. Plus, he really, really, really liked her, so he didn't want her to think that he was boring and uninteresting and all of that stuff!

Blaze sighed.

"We could uh…we could…!" Silver was trying really hard to think of something to do. "Ummmm…uh…!"

Blaze watched him closely, amusement dancing in her eyes. Then, without warning, the purple feline started smiling and she released an unrestrained burst of laughter. Silver's cheeks flushed and he felt embarrassed, wondering why his friend was laughing at him. Did he do something hilarious? He rarely ever heard Blaze laugh!

"Blaze!" Silver yawped. "What did I do? Did I say something funny?!"

Blaze shook her head and got up off of the bed, walking over to him and wrapping her arms around the male, quickly pressing a kiss to his cheek. "You are just so funny sometimes when you're trying to make me happy!" She admitted.

Silver was blushing like crazy now as he felt warm in Blaze's arms. He slowly hugged her back and ended up smiling like a fool. "A-Aww…thanks, Blaze!" He caterwauled softly.

"No problem, Silver."
