Hey, everyone! It's your author speaking!

Now, it should kinda come as no shock to those who've been waiting since I've last put out a chapter or to those who read all the way through this and thought, "Aw man! I can't wait for the author to update! Let me just check when they last updated and... oh."

Haha... sorry about that.

I know a lot of people have greatly enjoyed this fanfic(freaking baffling to me, but I'm nevertheless grateful), so it's a little hard to bear the news that I won't be continuing it any longer. I started this story back in middle school, and I'm a junior in high school now. Time has passed and I've just kinda... moved on.

Mind you, I haven't moved on from Percy Jackson(though I am majorly behind on Rick's newer books). I've just kinda moved on from fanfiction writing in general. I have bigger fish to fry if you will, and it's probably been obvious for a while now that this was never gonna get an eighteenth chapter.

That being said... I want to thank every single person who has read this story, whether you're still here by the end or not. For those who managed to hold on through the early chapters while I was still working on my writing skill, sitting through objectively horrible writing until about chapter 11 where it starts to get better in my opinion, and even to where it started to get GOOD, thank you, every single one of you. I can only hope I've entertained you enough with this story as a proper expression of my gratitude.

Even so long after I last updated and this story's relevance should have died out, I still get notifications now and then of people favoriting or following it. It genuinely warms my heart every time. Something I made myself is being appreciated, of course, I'm happy.

As a thank you gift, I've taken it upon myself to finally edit all of the past chapters and get rid of the errors, which I'll get to actually uploading soon - and I swear that isn't my "I'll update soon" type deal, I've already edited them, I just need a suitable time to upload them. I can't promise I got rid of every single error, but I'd place it at 98% fixed. If anyone ever feels the want to re-read it when I do, or those coming in for the first time, my gift is some proper writing... feels like that should've been a given, but whatever.

If anyone is particularly tied to my writing style, my "bigger fish" is currently up on FictionPress, 's sister site. The story called GLITCHis my current passion. It's completely original to myself, so no need for disclaimers at the top of each one, lol! If anyone is interested, I'd appreciate them giving it a read. Same username over there... and basically everywhere, tbh.

Thank you all for these amazing years and encouraging me to continue writing. Like all fanfics, this one had to eventually either conclude or be called off, and even though I'm taking the latter option now, I don't regret a second of writing it.

For anyone interested, here's how I originally planned for it to end:

So, after a few more battles I hadn't quite thought out, Travis would stay at camp with Connor but Perseus would return to the army. Sounds like a bummer, but there's an agreement to change the difference in time flow to be much closer to that of Earth's. It ends up with a week for a day. Still a bit of a stretch, but close enough.

Perseus doesn't get back together with Annabeth - not for lack of liking her, but because he's leaving again. Even though he promises to visit, he can't truly promise to return one day. He makes his peace with his old friends and continues looking to the future.

There was also gonna be some significant bullshit to the PoV being listed as "Percy's PoV" and with his own monologue including his nickname, to show that he'd accepted his past again.

I have no clue if I'd planned on fixing Percy's whole appearance situation, but if he came out with his true identity it's logical to assume Poseidon would've or something.

I'd also planned on writing more than just this story for this universe! I was going to write a prequel, set with Percy joining the army, meeting the OC's, and fighting through multiple wars, touching on all the crazy pieces of background detail I'd had the characters casually mention.

Following that would've been a sequel, and though I no longer remember what the plot was supposed to be, I think I'd planned on Percy staying on Earth at the end. I could be misremembering, but it's still a nice thought.

And that was it. I don't really know where along the way I lost the passion, but it's gone now. It's fun looking back on it all and seeing the jokes I'd written, the characters I'd created, the sass that was honestly a bit extra at times, and of course all of your comments that both highlighted the best - what I listed above, basically - and the worst - spelling errors - about my story.

The fans I'd gathered were honestly my favorite part of writing this story. I hope you're all doing great and have found more reliable authors to follow!

This also lowkey means I'm ending writing fanfiction all together, which I'm sorry for, but is really just a true part of how everything has worked out. I'll always remember how fun it all was, though! Maybe I'll hit a new series up one day in the future, who knows, but I'm mainly focusing on original stories for now.

Anyway. Enough of that. Let's wrap this up.

Yours in demigodishness and all that, and since this may be the last chance to say it, thank you all so much. *cheesy salute*
