Another very short one-shot. I hope I'm not killing you all with these. I promise I'm trying to get going on a longer fic! It's in the works! Side note, I downed a whole bottle of pink lemonade from France while writing this.

Sighs of frustration and the sound of umbrellas popping could be heard in rapid-fire around Firehouse fifty-one. The early May rain had just begun to beat down as the shift ended and the men and women headed over to Molly's for a drink.

"It's raining." Shay grinned as the sky opened up some more.

"You're gonna get soaked." Rafferty commented and popped her umbrella.

"Walk with me?" The blonde asked.

"You're kidding me, right? You're gonna walk all the way to Molly's in the rain?"

"I love rain. C'mon Allison. You're not going to melt." She pleaded.

"Fine. But you're not stealing my umbrella when you get tired of the rain." Rafferty conceded and let her partner drag her down the sidewalk in the direction of the bar.

The rain dripped down Leslie's skin as she relished the feeling of the droplets landing on her forehead and held her hands out with the palms facing up.

"What are you doing?" Allison asked, watching as Shay came to a standstill.

"Teaching you how to have some fun." She smirked.

"Wha- Oh my god. You did not just flick me in the face with water!" The brunette shrieked.

"What are you going to do about it?" Leslie taunted her and stuck her tongue out.

"This!" Allison dropped her umbrella to use both hands to shove Shay off the sidewalk into the puddle at the edge of the road that soaked through her sneakers in seconds.

"You're going to regret that." Her shoes made awful squishing sounds as she pushed Allison hard against a short tree growing out of the grass on the other side of the sidewalk. A shower of rain droplets fell from the new spring leaves and landed on their heads while she held her against the bark.

"Your eyes are really blue in this weather." Rafferty murmured, holding Shay's gaze a little too long.

"Can I, um, can I kiss you?"

Allison went up on her toes and wrapped her arms around Leslie's neck as their lips met. Like puzzle pieces, they fit into one another like they were made specifically for the purpose. She tastes like pink lemonade, Rafferty thought, what kind of lip balm could taste so good? Leslie took Allison's top lip between her teeth and tugged at it briefly as the rain reminded them of its presence by running between lips and tongue and teeth. The world disappeared for a moment and it was just them and the weather.

"I don't live far from here. We could skip Molly's." Allison suggested as she tucked stray strands of hair behind Shay's ear.

The blonde nodded and quickly pressed their lips back together, "I'd like that. I'd like that a lot"
