Chapter Twenty-nine - Fin

Okie! As the title says, this is the final chapter! And this is going to be my first complete fanfic! X3

"If X means Xerneas then it's gotta be that place." I mutter, flying on Altaria to get to our destination. We reach Kiloude City in no time.

"Thanks Altaria." I said before returning my pokemon. I ran up pass the Battle Mansion and onto an area with a pond.

This is where I meet Xerneas... I can sense his presence but faintly.

"Pika, do you detect anything?" Pika put her ears and nose to use. I stare into the woods.

"Maybe..."

Suddenly, a Lucario appear out of it. We were prepared if it attacks us but it didn't. Lucario look from me to Pika in which Pika nods.

"Pikapi pikachu!"

"Huh?" I tilt my head. Lucario started heading back into the woods, Pika following.

"We have to follow Lucario?" I ask while catching up the them. Pika nods. Lucario starting running and we try our best to keep up but sometimes he jump from tree to tree then back onto the ground.

"Where are we heading to?" I wonder. He suddenly stops and I bump into him.

"Sorry..." I said, stepping back. The spot we stopped act looks like there isn't a sign of life anywhere. How did we get here?

"Pikapi!" Pika calls. I look up to see something shiny. As I approach, I recognize it, it's Xerneas's Jewel of life. I reached out for it, and picked it out of the air. The warm familiar feeling when it touches my hand, it illuminated brighter. Just as Serena squeezes it, I squeeze it tightly until it turns to sparkles of light. They gathered in one place, made an X and Xerneas slowly appear before us.

I stare blankly at the huge deer pokemon.

We meet again Calem.

"Yeah..."

Lucario, thank you for your assistance.

Lucario only nod in reply. I wonder if this is a wild pokemon.

"What happened back there?" I ask. Xerneas looks at me then something shine down in front of him.

The curse is broken. We can finally rest after so long.

"The one that keep you awake, Yveltal sealed and both your abilities to be taken away?"

Yes. After the battle, Yveltal lost his pride as he was being controlled the whole time. It's thanks to this girl that he finally woke from his trance.

Pika and I look with widen eyes as what appears before us.

However, she had lost her ability to understand and heal pokemon in the process.

"As long as she's safe, thanks Xerneas."

It was Lucario who protected her when she was about to be hit.

I stare at Lucario then look back in confusion.

That pokemon detected our aura and came to where we were.

"Pika pi..." Pika shakes the sleeping girl on her side

Xerneas looks down. Don't worry, she's alive. However, I cannot guarantee her memories.

I frown.

My time's up. It's been great to travel with you Calem, I enjoyed it. Xerneas begin to change forms. Now I can sleep.

"Thanks for everything!" I grin. Where Xerneas was, now stands a huge tree. It releases a wave of energy that spread throughout. Flowers and grass popping out, trees appear and grew.

"Xerneas...just brought back a forest." I said, agape.

"Ngh..." The girl slowly wakes and sit up. "Where am I...?"

"You're awake!" I exclaim. Her pokemon pop out of her pokeballs that I'm carrying. All of them tackle her back to the ground.

"H-hey!" She exclaims.

Does she remember? I wonder.

Serena takes notice at me and keeps staring at me without blinking.

"W-what...?" I ask nervously, taking a step back. Pika hops onto her head and she smiles brightly.

"I didn't forget."

I stare with widen eyes.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." She says, standing up. "And thanks for looking after my pokemon."

"You know you caused me enough trouble already?" I raise an eyebrow and smile, tossing her her pokeballs.

Serena sticks her tongue out playfully. "Sorry, bare with me for a little while more."

She then turn to Lucario. "You're the Riolu back then weren't you?"

Lucario nods.

"Thanks for protecting me."

Pika hop down and started a conversation with Lucario.

"Pikapi!" Pika waves to Serena. I have no idea what they're talking about.

"Do you want to come along?"

Lucario nods, kneeling down to one knee. Serena giggles.

"You don't have to be formal." She takes out a pokeball and tap it gently against Lucario's head.

"Are we done here?" I ask.

"What do you think Calem?" She asks, returning her pokemon and walking pass me. I catch up to her.

"Hey umm...what did you say to me when you sent me away?" I ask.

"Um..." Serena thought a bit.

"You can't recall it?" I frown.

"I won't forget you. Ever again."

"What...?"I stop in my tracks. A faint blush creep across my face and I see a faint one on hers as well.

"I'm not going to repeat it!" She runs, calling out her Staraptor and hopping on to take off.

"Hey!" I call out.

"Meet ya at Uncle's lab!"

"Altaria!" I let out my flying type. "If you want a race then you got it!"

...

"Stop arguing with me! I won!" Serena exclaims.

"It was a tie!" I argue back as we walk in the lab.

"No, it was by a beak!"

"No it wasn't!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No!" We were arguing head to head.

"Pika pi..." Pika sigh. After some more yes's and no's, we came really close to each other. Both of us turn red and face away and awkward silence came in...

"I have a question." I said, breaking the silence.

"What?"

"If you remembered then how come you don't all me by my nickname anymore?"

"Because," Serena deadpans. "I sound spoiled if I said that."

I sweatdrop having a feeling that she's talking about a specific person.

"And I preferred it if I'm addressed by my name."

"Right."

"Well speak of the devil." She says, amused, standing in front of Prof. Sycamore's office with her arms cross.

"Something wrong?" I peek in. "Oh."

Everyone froze with shock faces and Yvonne's there too. Why is she here? Oh...Shauna probably invited her.

"Hey guys." Serena greets casually, smiling. "I'm back."

"Pikapi!" Pika chirps.

"S-Serena...?" Prof. Sycamore looks in disbelief, tears around his eyes.

"S-SERENA!" Shauna was about to tackle Serena to the ground but she saw it coming and move out of the way.

"I rather not get chocked again." She says calmly. The trio of friends have tears surrounding their eyes as they look at Serena.

"Is...that really you...?" Tierno asks, shaking.

"No I'm a ghost." Serena jokes.

"R-really..." Trevor tries to speak.

"C-Caly...?" Yvonne wants to confirm it with me.

"Everyone, let's give a back welcome back to Lady S."

Serena elbowed me in the stomach.

"Uh yep...she's alive and back." I groan, holding onto the door frame as I hold onto my aching stomach.

"Caly! Are you okay?" Yvonne came to help me.

"You had that coming." Serena states.

"Thank goodness." Prof. Sycamore says in relieve. "I wouldn't want to face your mom's wrath."

"You know, I can arrange that." Serena teases.

"No thank you."

"Lady S! It's really you!" Shauna exclaims cheerfully.

"Who else would I be?" She asks, grinning.

"But...you seem different." Tierno points out.

"Everyone changes somehow right?" She asks.

"It should've been sooner." I cough out.

"I'm sorry, would you like another hit?" Serena asks.

"N-no thanks." I sweatdrop.

Prof. Sycamore clears his throat. "Welcome back you two."

We also made calls to Red, Green, and Leaf to tell them the news. They were happy and relieve to hear it.

...

"Are you sure?"

"Absolutely."

"But you just came back."

"Are you scared?"

"No, why would I?"

"Because I beat you the first time."

"That was just a fluke!"

"Sure sure, Kalos Champion." Serena waves it away. "Can we start?"

"Double battle right?"

"Yep, these two had been itching to fight."

"Are you two ready?" Prof. Sycamore calls. I look to the side, everybody is watching, including the pokemon that we let out.

"I'm not holding back then."

"Neither will I."

"Blaziken, Luxray!"

"Pika, Lucario!" Pika step onto the battle field while Lucario materialize from its pokeball. Lucario seems to emit a strong aura.

"Crush her Caly!" Yvonne cheers.

Easier said than done...

"Oh yeah, before we start, I got something to give you."

"What is it?" She takes something out of her pocket and threw it to me.

"I think it'll suit you." I catch it in my hand. It's a necklace with a sword attached to it, words are engraved onto the sword. Eternal gratitude to the brave knight.

"Where did you get this?"

"Beats me, it was in my hands when I woke up."

I chuckle. "Thanks. Ready, Lady S?"

That seems to prick her.

"You're so dead." She says. "Lucario, Pika, don't hold back!"

I gulp as all three of them lit up a fierce fighting aura...Actually, how strong can those two be? I haven't seen Pika battle much but...Just thinking about it sends me the chills. And Lucario...I never seen it's strength.

We held up our Mega stones.

"Mega evolve!" We both exclaim. The stone reacts with the items the pokemon held onto and both Blaziken and Lucario is engulf by a crystal sphere then breaking out in it's new form. Serena and her pokemon looks stronger than before.

Heh, she doesn't realize it but she already took the champion title from me.

"Battle START!" Prof. Sycamore declare.
