After Daryl and Rick left to hunt, Carl stayed in the cabin with Michonne. He'd gotten up to get her some water even though her dizziness seemed to be subsiding. "Michonne?" Carl said in confusion as he came back into the living area to see Michonne had vanished. His first instinct was to check upstairs, nothing. Running back down the steps, he went outside and saw Michonne crouched down checking on the walkers the group had just slain.

Michonne stands and places her hands on her hips looking down at the walkers trying to figure out what was so different about them. Walkers were already such a threat and if over time they'd grow faster, what was next? Michonne hears her name and turns around breaking her concentration. "What are you doing out here?" Carl asked looking up at her.

"Just trying to figure something out." Noticing something in a few of the walkers mouths she looked to Carl, "these walkers fed, very recently too." She knelt down and pried open a walker's mouths to see some strands of dark hair and small speckles of flesh showing it to Carl.

"So you're saying the ones who eat gain more energy or something?"

"I think so."

Michonne sighs and speaks with sarcasm. "Great, this is exactly what we all needed." The speed of the walkers wasn't too dramatically different, but any progression of these monsters was not taken lightly. Carl hands Michonne the bottle of water he'd gotten for her, and she smiles thanking him. He still looks worried about her. "Are you feeling better?"

"I'm fine, I don't go down that easily."

"So you and my dad..." Carl starts to say as Michonne becomes slightly tense with anticipation, but he never did finish his sentence. That kiss between herself and Rick in front of him was just another impulse, she now wished they'd held back on.

"Carl, I really care about your dad, and I knew you mentioned you'd be fine with it before but if you're not anymore you can tell me."

"I don't know how to feel..."

"He's still your dad, and he loves you. And you're still my best friend."

"Really, because I've been spending a lot of time with Daryl lately."

"I didn't know Daryl was such bad company" she jokes. "I think he's had enough time with you anyways, I'm stealing you back." She smiles at him, and feels a scene of relief when he returns the same light hearted smile.

As Michonne looked towards the forest removing the lid from the water bottle, she brought it to her lips pouring the cool liquid down her throat, Carl walked a few paces behind her pulling out his gun, "Michonne!" As She turned around her eyes were shocked open with terror. "Carl, we have to run. Now."

The sound around them went from quietness to feet scraping across the ground, opened mouths that couldn't speak only rasp, and groans of the dead, as walkers were emerging all around them. The scene was like hands coming together to trap a helpless fly, as the walkers dragged their lifeless weight towards the two survivors. She unleashed her katana as they ran and she made sure Carl was ahead of her, and in her sights at all times.

"Carl follow the markings on the trees, its how we'll find your dad and Daryl." Carl followed her command and had his gun out for any walker that got too close.

Much father off in the direction Carl and Michonne were running too, its a calm setting and a lack luster hunt for food so far, which frustrates an increasingly impatient Daryl. "Damn man, where all them deers go?"

"Maybe your trakin's gettin' dull... we should head back soon."

"Naw man, I aint going back without at least a rabbit or two... a small buck at the most."

"We should put some snares up-"

"I said I got it. We'll find us a deer and drag it back to cabin."

Rick nods as his fingers interlace withing his sweat dabbed locks before digging into his pocket.

"Daryl, it's getting late... we need to head back-"

"Look, over here... there some droppings here... they look fresh. Lets keep going." Daryl pushes on as Rick looks back towards the direction of his cabin. A feeling of urgency twisting away at his stomach. Two bullets shots in the distance only cater to the unsettling feeling in the pit of his stomach.

"Dad! Dad!" Carl's voice is heard which alarms Rick and brings Daryl out of his focus on the hunt.

"Carllllll!" Rick yells running in the direction of his son's voice. He sees Carl running towards him alone with blood splatter on him but Michonne isn't anywhere in sight. "Carl." Rick says trying to get his son's attention, but Carl is just frantically searching around. "Where's Michonne?"

"She was right behind me, she told me to just keep running. There were walkers everyone."

Rick looks back at Daryl. "Daryl you stay with Carl. I need you to get him some place safe."

Daryl points his arm out, "in that direction there's a pile up of cars, when you find her, you meet us in that area."

Rick nods then sees Michonne running towards them with her bloodies katana. "Run!" She screams as the four of them take off.

As the four continue to run down the road, Carl slows down casing the group to catch their breaths. They move out of clear sight and search around the area with their tiresome gazes. "Michonne what happened?" Rick asked. "I got surrounded but I fought my way out, there mostly in the woods, if we stay on the road we should be good for a while." Michonne sighs.

"You alright?"

"I'm fine Daryl, I'm just tired of all this."

Carl stays by Michonne's side as Rick notices Daryl walking up to a sight that read, "Glenn, go to Terminus." And it was sighed Maggie, Sasha and Bob. Michonne and Carl approach the sign in silence, reading the message written in walker blood. If they were to head to Terminus, they could find members of their group, they could find shelter, they could stop running. All were similar thoughts rushing through the minds off all four. "Rick what's the plan." Michonne asks as he glances her way. "Lets go."
