Just a quick drabble of a scene I kept having in my head of Kurt waking up in the hospital with Blaine clinging on to him.

As Kurt slowly comes back to consciousness he can hear the steady beeping of a machine keeping track of his heart beats like the ones they have on Grey's Anatomy.

Kurt wants to open his eyes but he can't seem to find the energy to do so. His mouth is dry, and he is too warm.

He recognizes a familiar fragrance of raspberries and men's cologne. Blaine. He now realizes why he is so warm. His fiancée is clinging to him for dear life, his protective arm draped around his chest, his fingers clutching his hospital gown holding Kurt's body close to his, Blaine's face buried in his neck.

Kurt tires to move but a dull pain warns him that it's probably not a good idea. The painkillers the doctors gave him were starting to ware off.

Then he remembers the screaming someone being attacked. He has no time to think he just acted, did what he thought was right. In his heart he knew standing up to those bastards was the right decision but his body was a little angry with him at the moment.

He finally finds the energy to open his eyes slightly. They burn under the harsh florescent lights.

He lifts his right hand to rest it on top of Blaine's that is clutching his hospital gown and strokes his knuckles.

Blaine stirs from the feeling realizing Kurt is away he lifts his head "Hey!" he says as he starts to sit up "How you feeling?" he asks as he brings his hand to brush back the strand of hair from Kurt's face.

"Morally and emotionally fantastic. Physically not as great, but totally worth it."

"Kurt-t" Blaine's voice hitches and he chokes back a sob he hasn't cried yet and he doesn't want to. "Why—What where—" Blaine can't find the words. He wants to be upset with Kurt but he can't, it is apart of what he loves about Kurt, standing up for what he believes.

"P-please don't do that again." He begs tears forming in his eyes. Deep down he knows that if Kurt had the chance, he would do it again, and it scares him he came so close to loosing him he doesn't want to go through it again.

"Blaine, I did what I had to."

"I know. I know." Blaine sighs "but getting that call Kurt – please please I can't do it again." Blaine can't hold back his tears any more "You could have died Kurt and I don't even want to image a world with you not in it but – today" Blaine takes a deep breath and ties to compose himself but another sob escapes instead.

Kurt pulls Blaine back down so he is lying next to him "Hey, I'm not going anywhere. I'm right here." Kurt says squeezing Blaine's hand.

"I died a thousand deaths tonight Kurt." Blaine says snuggling back into Kurt's neck.

"I know, I'm sorry."
