But, I am now and here's the epilogue that was promised to you readers! Thank you for all of your support and, even if you're just now finding this story, I appreciate you giving it a chance! It's been a great ride!

Also, it is still unknown if Battle Scars will be written.

~ One week later... ~

There was the sound of keys jingling and the lock on the inside clicking. Slowly, the door to the apartment swung open, revealing Sam and Cat on the outside. On her crutches and her leg wrapped in a bandage, Cat stood beside Sam. Sam had her arm around Cat's waist and held her as close as she could get her due to the crutch. Sam stepped inside first, her girlfriend -er, fiancée- and helped her into the living room. Cat made her way to the couch and Sam gently placed her down onto it. She took one of the pillows on the couch and placed it on the table for Cat to place her leg on. She then sat beside her and put her arm around Cat's shoulders, hugging her close.

"You didn't have to do all that." Cat said, relaxing into the crook of Sam's arm. "I'm perfectly capable of making myself comfortable."

"I know, but you deserve everything." Sam said, looking down at Cat. "Including your own personal caretaker."

Cat smiled, glancing down at Sam's lips. "I'm hearing a little too much lip service when I should be feeling it. If I truly do deserve everything, tell my why that is a problem."

Sam grinned, chuckling, and going along with Cat's little game. "Because." She gave Cat a peck on the lips, followed by kisses between her words. "You. Are. Everything." Sam's hand cradled Cat's cheek. "And you deserve the best kisses I can deliver."

Cat giggled and kisses Sam herself, using her hand to push herself up. Lowering herself again, she took Sam's hand and smiled. "It feels great to be home."

"Tell me about it. But you still have therapy tomorrow." Sam said.

"I don't want to think about that." Cat sighed. "I just want to focus on right here, right now."

"It was really boring being here without my fiancée to keep me company." Sam said

"I still can't believe you asked." Cat said, gazing down at her ring. It sparkled on her finger.

"I admit, it was like a dream when you said yes. Like everything in this world no longer mattered because you were officially mine." Sam said.

Cat blushed. "Don't go getting all mushy on me."

"I can't help it." Sam said. "I'm not the same Sam I was when you met me. Well, not around you at least. I can swear that if anyone looks at you the way I do and you do me, they'll be in hell before the devil even knows they're coming. That will never change. It's all cliché, but true."

"You're not cliché." Cat said. "You're honest. And I love that about you. I know you'll never actually change, though I'd prefer you stop bullying kids so much-"

"Hey, sometimes they ask for it." Sam said in her defense.

"Regardless," Cat continued, ignoring Sam's comment. "I still love you and I always will. No matter what."

"Now you're getting mushy on me." Sam said.

"You started it." Cat replied, poking Sam.

Sam laughed, but her expression grew serious. "Cat, I want you to be honest with me. I want you to talk to me. You don't have to give me all the dirty details, but don't shut me in the dark either. You don't have to do it now, but whenever you feel comfortable..."

"I understand, Sam." Cat said. "I will, when I'm ready. I don't think going to therapy so soon is a good idea. I'm not ready to experience all of it again. And I really don't want to take those anti-depressants."

"No one wants you to." Sam said. "But it's better than seeing you beat yourself up over something you can't control."

"The nightmares still haven't gone away." Cat noted.

"They probably won't for a while."

"I'm going to freak out almost every night."

"I'll live with it."

Cat started to smile. "I might beat you up in my sleep."

Sam smiled with her. "The pain will always be worth it."

"Screaming." Cat said.

"Ear plugs?" Sam guessed.

Cat punched her jokingly in her arm and settled back into her hold. "I love you, Sam."

"I love you, too, Kitten."

...

And that's a wrap! Again, thank you all for joining me on this journey with Sam and Cat. I love you guys! And don't worry, I haven't forgotten about WYLM? and Feral. I'm still working on them.
